To see someone of Toney’s calibre get owned was incredible.
Ответитьthis guy dosnt know who won the 1st round? ill give you ya hint, Roy Jones JR
Ответитьten bardziej opalony myslal ze jest z o m b i i to afrykanskie
ОтветитьDon't know what fight everyone watched but I saw a different fight. I watched the last 4 rounds first, the commentators had the fight over and Jones with a shutout, but I gave Toney the last 4 rounds, 9 thru 12. I won't see the other rounds 'til later.
The commentators brainwashed people into believing Jones dominated, and after seeing only 4 rounds I can already tell you it never happened. Knockdown didn't happen either. I have a feeling that Toney won this fight.
Disagree with nearly every word they said the entire fight. They were so biased for Roy that it was childish. With the benefit of 4 slow motion replays, neither commentator knows what they saw. The claim of a knockdown is ridiculous.
Jones landed a soft hook that my grandma could take. His follow thru on the punch landed him on Toney hard. Toney didn't move a millimeter after hit by the punch, he began moving when Jones crashed down on him. In that situation, there is no knockdown. All of Toney's back peddling was a direct result of the body block by Jones.
To be clear; there was no knockdown in this fight.
ОтветитьJones got 1 of the best left hooks there was
ОтветитьAfter the 9th or so round James Tony looks so dejected in his corner lol.
He's like realizing he's completely outclassed.... this gives me respect for Tony though, it's a sign of intelligence to admit something like that to yourself.
Roy in his prime was something super super special. What a time to be alive!!! Thank God for blessing us with all the beautiful masters of their crafts…. However, Larry Merchant was never one of them… 👎
ОтветитьThe ref keep embarrassing himself 😂😂😂
ОтветитьRoy jones is the only one greatest of all time, never in this world like him, no one, peroid
Ответитьprime rjj is superior to prime floyd mayweather. rjj is the greatest boxer puncher ever. no tells, such short punches, any angle, all with such sudden speed and power, from any position, perfectly accurate, can fight equally well moving forwards or backwards, tremendous combinations, always coming in and out on angles, transitions smoothly between long range and in tight defensively.
but wtf is jones weird habit of pulling at his waistband compulsively? how could such a dangerous habit which lowers your hands not be drilled out of you by your coaches by this point? unless it's a bait to make his opponents think he's distracted, and therefore open to be attacked?
rjj ability to pop backwards on angles and throw hook combination counters on tony's lowered head let jones control toney. Toney knew everytime he pressed he would get stung, and he didn't like getting hit as much as he claimed, so he didn't press enough to tire jones -- if that's even possible.
Lol the arrogant, mouthy one was badly out played and boxed. he needed a new trainer. I saw everything coming, how it would play out on fight night. I recall saying back in the day how I would've prepared him differently, and I'm no trainer! No excuses..its as though he watched no tape of jones. He had zero strategy to offset Jone's obvious approach. Embarrassing on a pro level to watch.
ОтветитьPerhaps the commentators inserted a joint in one of those special toad's butthole and inhaled the fumes, while dripping vodka red bull straight into their eyebulbs. No other explanation to them saying round 5 was a close round, no other explanation. Let's see what they will have to say about round 6. What a journey.
ОтветитьNobody told Roy not to wear his church clothes to the match??
ОтветитьComing out to BTNH is a W any day lol
ОтветитьEl Roy Jones Jr we watched from Mexico you are amazing y El James Toney tabien es cabron
Its always fun watching Michael Buffer get the fighters pumped up.
ОтветитьIts happened when junior schooL and im run from the cLass onLy to watch this moment...after the party im back to cLass and punished by my teacher 😆😆😆
ОтветитьBoots aint doing this to an elite fighter. Villa aint james toney bruh lmao
ОтветитьIts the thuggish ruggish boooooone, so call me black superman!!!!
ОтветитьAn upset my assets!!!!!!😂 I can see now, Roy had alot of hater’s!!!!!
ОтветитьJones was a phenom! People have no idea how good this guy was in his prime.
ОтветитьDick Steele is a fuck-up ref. Wont let the guys fight. Been doing it for years.
ОтветитьRoy every round flawless victory
ОтветитьThat was one of the greatest 12 round performances by a single fighter that I’ve ever seen. Toney was an undefeated champion and Jones just absolutely schooled him. Crazy
ОтветитьI always hated jones but he had too much speed
ОтветитьWhat a tactical battle....technique vs talent....counter punching vs agression....shoulder roll vs punching & dissapearing. Really a war...it's incredible how well roy managed this fight in the later rounds...❤
ОтветитьNo wonder RJJ won . Each time Toney had him cornered , the ref stepped in .
ОтветитьRoy Jones the only boxer to only box for a whole fight.Fir a whole career!
ОтветитьToneys style and headmovement though damn. He couldn’t catch Jones but he really made Jones miss
ОтветитьToney was just a bad mf jones jr was silkier then silk
ОтветитьI Always Hated When Richard Steele Refereed A Fight. He Was The WORST.
ОтветитьShould of had a younger ref
ОтветитьThe fact Roy made Toney look silly in their primes is a testament to Roy's greatness. I thought I was watching this fight sped up lol Roy's speed and accuracy was ridiculous
ОтветитьRespect
ОтветитьIt was Roy’s speed and athletic ability that made toney look worse than he is. Speed kills man. Just like when Hopkins fought Roy. Too much speed man.
ОтветитьToney was funny in this one. Good sport and frustrated in the 5th and deciding to have fun wanted to just fight. Roys my favorite but Toney was a G.
ОтветитьBeautiful exposition of the art.
ОтветитьClassic example of why fighters study film. Roy studied film on Toney for weeks in preparation while Toney barely watched film on Roy thinking just another fight. Terrible mistake by Toney and got embarrassed. Toney's victories over Nunn and McCallum made him complacent.
ОтветитьThis fight only looks better for Roy Jones with how James Toney continued on after the loss.
ОтветитьThis was Roy's coming out party right here
ОтветитьToney was a great, skilled fighter, but Jones made him look like a journeyman. If you didn’t know who Toney was, you would assume Toney was just some bum or tomato can. Jones just had too much speed that night for Toney……..
ОтветитьToney still my all time favorite fighter. Kudos to Jones for winning though
ОтветитьIfJames toney has a good foot work, I don’t see anyone beating him, Roy Jones is a complete fighter
ОтветитьWhats the point of weigh ins if they balloon up to 184 from 168
Ответить
