Прекрасная идея, золотые ручки. Но вставку надо бы на уровень платья и без кружева. Был бы стиль.

That alteration looks like kidt what it is: an alteration to make the garment bigger.
Why not just sew up the original opening and add a few vertical stripes down the front and down the back? The choice of insert cloth print would make all the difference. Why not use something prettier or more fun than white? Maybe a floral would improve the look.
That dress might have been a person's favorite before being altered, but I really doubt thevl aktered version would rank bestvinbthstvperson's wardrobe after alteration.
It would be MUCH easier for the person to drink a cinnamon tea daily fir several months and take tge excess pounds off. Bring 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to a boil, cool, and drink each day. Stop after loosing 10 pounds. Allow the body to rebalance for a few months and repeat.
Better yet, research insulin resistance and diabetes and start an actually healthy eating plan.
I dropped 2 dress sizes and reballanced my blood sugar without medication after nutritionist consultations and switching to appropriate adult eating behaviors.
Some foods are fine to eat to avoid starvation but very unhealthy to eat when a person has access to abundance. That's because some carbs are just like eating ice cream. A person can avoid starving by earing 1200 calories of ice cream a day through a brutal winter, but good health requires other nutients.

Trennen und Schals oder Kinderkleidung von machen. Überhaupt: Kleider sind unpraktisch, es gibt so viele getrennte Zweiteiler.

Dommage la robe a perdu tout son cachet. Il eut été préférable, à mon avis, de faire un rajout de chaque côté en le terminant dans la manche, et dans le même gris que le fond de la robe. Ceci dit chacun ses goûts !
