This video solves a huge problem I’ve always had with black texture trim getting scratched. Thanks! So well explained, however, I’d like to know how permanent is this procedure and if after having been painted could you apply trim restorer to preserve it when faded without removing the layers of paint.

What texture paint are you using? I can't find any information about that Pro Tex

i was expecting a 2k black over the top of the texture , but i guess if the color out of the can matches already... no reason to make extra work

So you're not going to apply an adhesion promoter, plastic primer? You know it will flake off in a couple of years but that's not your problem. Bloody armatures.

First you should use a wax and silicone remover and wash the area to be repaired before even touching it or you can sand the waxes into the plastic then cause a nightmare when you go to paint it ...

Wow, this was really cool! I actually replaced some plastic trim on my last car because it was damaged from the previous owner. It wasn't cheap, or fun to replace. I would have liked to have tried this before replacing. Nice work! Thanks for sharing 🍻

The repairs you have shown are "common" everyday damage and you have shown how they can be repaired simply without any special tools. I'll be using some of these techniques with the cars at work. Great stuff! I have a bmw645ci with a small split on the front wing from a fixing bolt at the top. Apparently a common problem with these plastic wings. Is it possible to repair?
