Personally i feel like ravenna is more powerful and skilled

I love both of them and both of their stories are heartbreaking

Ravennas village was destroyed and her mother gave her immortality and beauty to survive and then she was kidnapped and most likely sa'd by the king and then eventually she became corrupted by her dark magic

And

Freya was kidnapped also probably only survived because ravenna most likely begged the king to keep her and finn alive then as the years go by her sister became evil then she gets pregnant by the man she loves and then she sees him over her dead daughter, unlocking her powers freezing her heart then to find out your sister did it

She's all gold on the outside and black and nothing inside

I'm confused about how this movie relates to the first one?

Freya is a very interesting character, she doesnt kill people that are innocent like her children. Yes, she keps them hostage for decades, but she never did kill any of them. But at the same time, she tells them to kill everyone coming their way. And at the end, she killed her own sister because she realised her sister framed her actual innocent lover and killed her daughter.
