HUDA BEAUTY PRETTY GRUNGE OR PRETTY BORING?

I was wondering if you could let us know where you got the ring (cross) .. its so pretty .. I like the style of it.. thanks .. and thanks for reviewing huda' I am allergic to carmine and I absolutely love Huda's formula too I think it goes on so easy .. but I have to be careful to check ingredients... she might have just one shade in the whole pallete that uses carmine and I can handle still purchasing it anyways.

Hi, anyone else purchased the palette from Sephora, and the color grunge has white spots on it? Is it wax bloom or something else?

Oh I was so hoping that you would compare it to the Naughty Nude. That's the one that I was thinking that it reminded me of. I had mostly talked myself out of it and then I saw the Stone Cold Fox comparison and that clenched it for me. I definitely don't need the Grunge.

I am buying this palette!

I am very fair and most of the time eyeshadow pulls super warm on me. This palette however doesn’t. I wouldn’t call it cool toned, but it is definitely neutral. More neutral even than ND’s I need a nude one, I have a soft spot for mauves so I actually loved this palette color wise

I wanted to add a comment here regarding the pretty grunge palette. I have loved and been involved and obsessed by make up for 60 years so I tried a lot. And having so much make up The new pallets don’t seem impressive to me mainly because there’s only three or four that I would use out of the pallets, headed to the fact that it’s 75 there are certain formulations that don’t work for me anymore. Generally the sparkly glittery ones. so I don’t generally buy them. I understand that maybe if you’re younger, I don’t have as much as I do you might be looking to buy this pallet. Well, I finally broke down and thought let me give it a try. I have to tell you I was so underwhelmed that I could not believe that I spent the money on this. It’s definitely going back to Sephora but The point I wanted to make is that I have a 7.99 pallet from Marshall’s by revolution beauty that is 10 times better than this. I wish I could post a photo here to show you the colors and the textures that this inexpensive pallet has that is far superior

Youre so right I am 41 so I too grew up in the nineties also and I seem to remember the black lipstick come out more in the early 2000's in the goth Era I don't know if I'll pick up this palette I just have so many repetitive shades in my collection already especially for the price but I love thse two eye looks they are beautiful❤🥰

Just catching up on your reviews and surprisingly getting the new Natasha Denona! I always end up getting ones like this and hate the warm shades so I’m jumping at the chance for primarily cool tones! Great reviews as usual❤

This was one that, even though I have several of the comparison palettes I had to go for this one and I admit, I love it! Its just got more staying power, and more oomph at least for me. Great review Jenn.

Do you think this is too dark for everyday? I liked Empowered bc it had more lighter shimmers. Here I only see 3 and 2 look the same.

What a thorough review, excellent comparisons! Seeing the swatch comparisons makes it impossible to delude myself in thinking “ it’s so different from what I own” …my expectations are now more realistic. Now if I could just figure out a way to convince myself not to buy redundant items, products, color stores .

That is why I stopped buying her bigger palettes. Every "nude" shade eventually turned to some shade of pink on my eyelids.

Due to Huda's statements spreading misinformation and anti-Semitic sentiment, I will not be purchasing her products now or ever.

Wow love the comparisons. I am loving the shades on the Huda pallete. As you were swatching I though of the Patrick ta dimension 3 pallete. That pallet has cool tones but doesn’t have the rosy tones.

I'm considering getting this palette almost solely because of that matte shade Nirvana, it's such a unique neutral purple :) but I know I will never use any of the warm shades and not sure it's worth it :D

I’ll be honest. I have counted all my pallets from the large ones down to the minis and honestly I have almost 80 pallets. I think it’s time I stop by these pallets to use them only a couple of times and then to put them on the shelf. The colors in that pallet I can pretty much repeat in all the pallets that I have. I’m always running after that one so-called pallet where all the colors that I would use all the times is, in my opinion, a myth. It is a pretty palette, but I think I’m done with pallets altogether. Wonderful comparisons this saved me money since I have a few of the palettes

Hi Jen this is another pretty warm palette with some pops of silver. It is a bit more neutral and rosy than last year’s very warm offering, but it’s not a predominantly cool palette - lilacs shouldn’t turn peachy after all ( this is a big issue on my very cool toned skin). There is such a plethora of warm orangey palettes on the market that hoping for some truly cool toned palettes isn’t out of order. As to grunge, black lipstick wasn’t a grunge look in the nineties- it just wasn’t. Even as a modern take on grunge it’s an odd choice - deep brown would make more sense perhaps. Overall this isn’t for me - it’s too warm and too dark tbh (although I like the silver shimmers 😂). I appreciate the swatches showing the shades against others we’re familiar with. Best wishes x

I like this, but I can definitely achieve the vibe of this with my current collection. If I still find myself drawn to this color story when Alter Ego comes out with their palette inspired by this, I'll pick that one up to save some $$.

I just got ND's Xenon on Saturday, used it today, and love it. I also like the looks of this one too and I may get it too. Hopefully Sephora will have it Nov 1 and I can get the sale discount. The black lip gloss is a massive no for me.

This is a perfect pallette for me. I have similar skin, eye and haircolor to you and these rosy browns look good on me. I can do very conservative work look or a party look with this. I do not look good in colourful shimmers (they look too harsh on me since I look better in muted colors or all matte looks). So I will buy this during the sale.

looks nice on u... just too blah nude for me, shimmers/glitters not anything really different to spend that money. Her palettes are nice, reminds me a lot of the Empowered actually with some Retro.. Got the ND Xenon really different and gives me more choices.
