Which Ship Should You Be Using? (NMS Endurance)

Why didn’t you mention sentinel ships? I just got one and I want to know if it’s better than my exotic

Its probably more recently updated but ive found wide body fighter's and explorers with 38 capacity cargo

I spent a couple hours at a trading post looking for a exotic ship, eventually giving up and going to scrap some cheap high tier shuttles I'd bought to get nanites.

As I was scrapping them, the exotic flew right into the space station next to me. After staring at it for a few moments I ran over and bought it.

All you have to do is complete the story until you find a glyph portal find the first two glyphs using travelers, use those to enter in a certain sequence, find the rest of the glyphs, watch videos and spend hours collecting and repairing every S Class ship in the game then flex all of them in the anomaly

Gods, I could not understand what he was talking about at first. I thought I was going nuts. "Shows" apparently means shuttles.

Wow.. I had a 1 percent chance to get an s-class and got one - and shortly after another one flew in.

With the solar ships your take off thrusters and your Pulse engine can be made rechargeable making your fuel almost free!

I love my living ships, but its really hard to upgrade the storage. Its hard to go from flying my 120 slot salvaged ship to a measly 40 slots 😂

I'm using an S Class Sentinel ship. Do you know how they compare to the exotics?

Bet be too the game. The only way I actually got new ship was fixing abandoned ones. Wich is very fun for me xD got a hauler, a fighter and a shuttle. Did buy off a solar one from a merchant.

Is their an update with the new salvaged ship class?

I played a fair bit until about 4 years ago, then NMS outgrew my old PC. Back on with a new machine in the last couple of weeks, I started a new game: very early got lucky and salvaged an S-class solar from a wreck, then came across a nice (if small, for now) exotic. I'd like a squid or a living ship, but basically with those two, I have all I need, and I can focus on adding slots to them and improving my freighter. Both can fight, the exotic has more HD range but the solar is bigger and so smooooth around a system :)

I got an S-class hauler for 69,000,000, 5,000,000 is nothing.

I realize the update that includes them wasn't out when this Video was released, though I love my Interceptor. They do kinda ruin the game for all other Ships since they can hover, they're beautiful and when you find them you don't need to fix anything, plus they're worth a lot more than other Ships for some reason- they're just too easy to get and, are worth too much, then there's the hover ability which on it's own (to me) makes it better than anything else. I've ran across 3 S Class Ships, one an exotic, one a Solar but they just did not come close to comparing so I sold them. Kinda wish I'd kept the Exotic. Nice Video!

Explorers made entirely obsolete by the new Sentinel class too. (as of 2023)

I have an orange hot rod fighter s class. Not the best color but works fine. Most of my inventory is on me or my freighter . My ship just keeps stuff for the pulse drive

A few corrections/additions on living ships:
- They actually got the same handling as haulers. Meaning it's shit and handle like a Land Rover Defender... or an oil tanker, your pick.
- They have about the same cargo capacity as "wide" fighters.
- The only really got one weapon type, which is an equivalent of Photon Cannon. The other one is mining laser, so unless you want to "fight" fauna, it's useless.
- They are much easier to recharge, only requiring resources like oxygen, silver, gold or chromatic metal. None of that battery crap to recharge launcher like with other ships or warp cells for hyperdrive.
- Otherwise much more efficient with technology slots, such as not needing any of the rainbow hyperdrive modules and the automatic launch recharger being built into another module, instead of being a completely separate one. This one is especially important in 4.1 update, because Hello Games decided to just remove general slots, so you can't sacrifice storage space for modules.

If you are low on units, craft and duplicate (using the portable refiner exploit) stasis devices, nanites, duplicate sentinel weapon shards.

Solar ships variable geometry and automatic recharging of engines makes them my favorite 🥇 . I love the external design and capabilities of the Living Ships but the cockpit is just too weird for me so although I do put them in 2nd place 🥈 I almost always fly in 3rd person.

About 2 years ago when I played on my dad's gaming laptop, I found an S class exotic and bought it. It was yellow and very small, it carried me through like 10 hours of the game, which was all I played

My favorite ship type in this game are Haulers, just because I like the way they look, especially with the wider set of wings or the cargo balls on them. I got an S-Class hauler with 3 Overcharged slots in an L-shape together so I installed the positron ejector with upgrades there and it's a monster in combat, plus it makes it awesome for getting ferrite dust+carbon by airstrafing a planet's surface. I used my other slot on my Shield because they're naturally tanky and I've just got S-Class upgrades to fix the maneuverability problems it has. I have my freighter fully upgraded so I use that for hyperdrive warping instead of using my ships for it. I like to switch between the ships in my collection every now and then but that Hauler is definitely my favorite and I think the best one I have just because of the slot placement, lol.

I made my S Class Solar into a f&$@ing tank. 385 shield, 5,000+ max dps, Maneuverability 1,000+, Hyperdrive 500 LY. Shield regen laser with s class upgrade, with rockets in a supercharged slot. I am proud of this for having just about 30 hours most of it not knowing what to do.

I feel rather fortunate that I managed to purchase an S-Class Solar ship in the first 15-20 hours of the game, and I didn’t even realize what I had done. I spent most of my money on it, but I gotta say, I like it. Makes killing pirates pretty fun, and I don’t even have any fancy guns yet. IT’s not the prettiest ship, but it works!

TLDW: Exotics for almost all playstyles (except absolute best statters for fighting or warping), Shutttles, junk, use them as giant trashcans because they are dreadful and you will be laughed at for being poor and homeless by Geks, and for being weak by vykeens and for being just plain dumb by korvax. Everything else "Meh"

I started a new save for the huge new update last week and I got a SClass Exotic on the very first ship after the starter ship. I think it's was the one that is supposed to be Artemis' ship on that mission. It was the Royal and not squid. Yellow and gold. A stunningly beautiful ship. I am playing on normal and was blown away after finding one so early

Oh and don't get me started on the living ships. I absolutely refuse to even own one. They are extremely ugly. I don't care how good any stats are I just hate the look and the janking motion they fly with. Ugh just so fugly!

Great video. I really wish they would change some ship related stuff. They need to do something with shuttles or just remove them from the game all together. Make it harder to hit in combat and make them incredibly agile but easy to kill. I wish they would let us at least change coloring of the ships.

How many living frigates do you recommend having? And is there any way to get a living ship on the switch? Stellar ice farming doesn’t seem to work anymore.
