Recently I've started to consider that, at least for myself if not others, morbid curiosity is a style of thrill seeking behavior. I'm too introverted and chicken to do a lot of traditionally exciting or risky things, but I can seek out something that will freak me out and test my limits in total control and safety.
And as such, have made peace with being a total weirdo who is into the gruesome 🤗

As someone with very low amounts of empathy this was really interesting to me because I didn’t know you where supposed to feel guilt about indulging in the gruesome. Nothing about my curiosity in such topics seemed morbid to me until other people pointed it out/said so🤷🏻‍♀️

The way people gathered around the person who was injured just for the sake of seeing it made me realise how much we are likely can watch other human being in pain.
