Hollow Knight Is A Masterpiece

I started this game a few months ago and it is a masterpiece indeed

I love how differently everyone plays this game, it does the metroidvania thing to absolute perfection in how non-linear it is and how open it feels at all times. I’ve played Hollow Knight to 112% four separate times and all 4 playthroughs felt completely unique from each other

I completed that first try. (Not like I get to talk considering I took forever to get flukenest.)

I know mantis lords isn't a hard boss by any means, but hands down it's the most hype fight for me in this game. The music paired with the rhythm of the fight is just too good.

Lost Kin was definitely the most infuriating part of the game at least for me, because he doesnt seem like he would be hard even while fighting him.... but you still keep dying for some reason

The only thing that sucks are the spikes etc but isn’t that the purpose and challenge of a platforming game? The bosses just give it extra depth and rewarding purpose. The point is to get the skills and timing of traversing the map and implement those to skillfully beat the bosses.

I'm learning as I watch this that when he says "that was easy"—it doesn't actually mean the boss is easy or wasn't a challenge. It feels like a lil catchphrase to release the tension after a cool fight. I'm sure chat also overshared or overhyped some things. I have to remind myself too that games are going to be easier for someone who plays them for a living lol

You should upgrade your HDMI cable, it really ruins the bitrate quality of the stream

this was the first "hard" game that i fully completed, and it wasn't even that hard, i mean it was, but, i was having SO much fun that i just forgot about all the pain i have endured when mastering P5
