Love the peek behind the curtain!!!
ОтветитьIt is amazing that not more books were damaged with that type of shipping. You would think it would cost more to do the replacement than provide better packaging.
ОтветитьGreat video! Thanks for the peek behind the scenes
ОтветитьThx for the insights, looking a bit behind the curtains was super interesting!
Ответитьvery interesting
ОтветитьMore great content as always.
ОтветитьHere's my comment. "I'd like to win the free slab."
Thanks for all of the sometimes valuable information in your videos, Bry!!
Awesome process
ОтветитьCool behind the scenes look. Thanks!
ОтветитьFor a hobby based on collectability, its always nuts seeing books shipped like that lol
ОтветитьI’m currently 23 and it’s been my dream for the passed year to open up my own comic shop. I appreciate videos like this and wonder if you plan on making more “insider” like videos? Thanks!
ОтветитьSurprised Image is using such cheap paper these days.
ОтветитьLucky guy with that double cover
Ответитьgreat information as always
Ответить6 hope that Spider boy isn't a bust.
ОтветитьI'm curious-if u get a box from a distributor and only get one or two damaged books out of the 200, do u even bother trying for replacements? Doesn't even seem worth the time or hassle, but I'm sure it happens all the time based on what I've seen in this vid.

ОтветитьSo awesome!!!!
ОтветитьIt's cool to see all the stuff behind the scenes.
ОтветитьGreat info and explanation.
ОтветитьVery cool to get a glimpse of the Wizard behind the curtain! Thanks for posting this, Bry!
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьEven as flawed as the direct distribution system is, you should see how bad the newsstand shipping and handling was. Comics were bundled like newspapers were with plastic bands or twine wrapped around the 50 75 book stack - sometimes with shrink wrap around it. The top & bottom books were always crushed by the bands and dinged on the corners. It's amazing that any of them are high grade!!
Awesome video, always great to see the behind the scenes stuff
ОтветитьUnfortunately the double cover has happened a few times on that book. I have seen 2 other videos with double covers. Let’s see how many show up at CGC.
ОтветитьGreat video. Love the behind the scenes info. I was lucky enough to work in a comic shop between 1992 and 1994. Good times and great memories. I’m curious, obviously you are going big on Worldtree - what did you think of the story? Does it have legs? Can you see it breaking away from the pack and really getting people excited? The hype is certainly there. I’m hopeful that the hype isn’t misplaced.
ОтветитьAs supposed to be!👍✔️
ОтветитьThanks for the peak behind the curtain, so many of us collectors flirt with the idea of being shop owners and it is fun to learn more.
ОтветитьVery cool too see this.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing
ОтветитьCool video 😊
ОтветитьIt’s crazy how this industry has the worst shipping policy but people use Comics as an investment
ОтветитьThat shipping description certainly explains alot
ОтветитьIt's incredible that companies don't take more care now that there are more than one distributor. Used to be only Diamond. All it would take is for a company to blow the competition away is to provide good quality control and good service or at least good packaging.
ОтветитьOFF TOPIC ! Hi Bry , saw you recently got a ASM 129 CGC OW-W ... I have the same copy . seeing as how its devalued by $15000 in the last 2 years , is it worth hanging on to ? as in,will it increase at more than inflation @ say 5% (UK) ? I appreciate you are a very busy man so if you cant send an answer can I ask your followers for their input ? Best wishes , RW_Comics .
ОтветитьAlways cool videos
ОтветитьLot of good information! Lot of learning points! Thanks for being a good teacher!
Ответитьmore behind the scenes! Excited for the fireside chat!
ОтветитьI have my childhood collection (1976-1994 ish) and love them. I never had a slabbed comic. It would be a good way to show others that comics really do have vale...if not in terms of money but appreciation of the art and writing.
ОтветитьThank you for the education
ОтветитьFunny enough I just made my first preorder. I didn’t know why my lcbs were selling bad copies and now I know why. Hopefully my preorders are safe!
ОтветитьThe damage risk makes me shiver
ОтветитьThanks for the information
ОтветитьNice score double cover. Love it. Still haven’t found any like that. Congrats
ОтветитьThanks for sharing a behind-the-scenes look into comic distribution. Congrats on the double cover!
ОтветитьThanks for the business insights! Distribution definitely needs to be improved.
ОтветитьHow do they control retailers actually destroying miss prints and not just keeping some and selling as a “rare misprint”?
ОтветитьI love how much you bring us- the viewers- in on what the back end of the comic-book business. Dude, if you haven't yet, could you PLEASE do a bio of you: how old you are, when you first came to love comics, when (and why) you started to become a serious collector, what your first favorite book character was at first (and whether or not they're STILL your favorite), when/how you started your business, what it was like at first, what your biggest mistakes were (comic book business-wise) what keeps you going today (is it JUST money? And btw- NO JUDGEMENT; if, say, making money WAS AND IS your reason for having a shop well, that's called "Being a human that both needs and uses money to eat, drink and maintain shelter- so yeah, nbd if that's what drives you) and lastly, what is your outlook on the future of the comic-collecting industry; will it be here in, say, 20 years? I would love to interview yoU!
Anyway that's it from here. LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOUR CONTENT MY MAN!
I love insider information!!!
ОтветитьNice insight.
