Your narrative is powerful and evocative; similar to a book that was powerful in its evocation. "The Joy of Less: A Minimalist Living Guide" by Matthew Cove
ОтветитьYou're so wise❤❤❤
ОтветитьOmG! I love your paintings ❤
ОтветитьI guess I think a lot like a minimalist ;-) ... thanks, nice video.
Ответитьmy luxury is that i do not need to work for 3 months this summer and i get spend time with my sister, boyfriend and cats 😊
Ответитьi don’t understand the hype about expensive jewelry. get me zirkonia on a ring that doesn’t tarnish or rust, an i am happy 🤷🏼♀️
ОтветитьA diamond does not show your amount of love for the other person, only time does.
ОтветитьHer husband seriously lucked-out by finding an "anti-gold-digger" unicorn.
ОтветитьGreat video to help redefine my life. Beginning a new life as a minimalist.
ОтветитьLol, spend less than a $100 a week.
ОтветитьWhat about diving even deeper into the construct of needing a ring to symbolize commitment or marriage…
ОтветитьThank you, well spoken and explain. ☺
ОтветитьI been getting rid of things and starting minimalist living. From food that we sometimes buy and are not healthy to one bath soap and one lotion. No more expensive bath and body works. I’m basically debt free and it feels amazing. Inner peace and peace of mind is priceless
ОтветитьLove love love the point your made about diamonds!
ОтветитьI love your videos. Thank you SO much for sharing wisdom :)
ОтветитьAmen to everything! And yes having windows open in the brief time of the year when we can, IS a luxury! I wish it lasted longer and it never takes up space in my home. : )
ОтветитьI'm ALL about minimalism! I recently found out I have ADHD so minimalism is something that will change my life for sure. I've been obsessing over videos about how to overcome the struggles of add and this video in particular is WAY cool!! But also I can't stop fixating on the pictures in the background and how they look slightly off....🤪 ok.... Back to the video 😂
Ответитьmy diamond ring came from a pawn shop. We bought matching koa wood rings when we lived in Hawaii (my happy place!) amd I bought a mood ring at a gift shop when we lived in The Netherlands. I rotate between the 3
ОтветитьSo pretty much it's like being a mechanic without know jack shit bout cars 😂 those of us who like to work with our hands think like this naturally. If I have a problem right in front of me, the first thing I do is look around to see what I can use to my advantage 😂
ОтветитьIt sickens me to think your idea of luxury is fresh air and a walk. These are basic human rights. It seems like you have so little treasure in this life. Minimalism means no adornment, all white everything? Try some color in your life.
ОтветитьAmazing, I see diamonds in a whole new light now. I generally like sparkly and shinny things, so it's more towards the way it looks vs the meaning behind it. But thanks!! it's definitely given me some perspective❤❤
ОтветитьI love the first one, I use a glass bottle that I store oil in as a rolling pin and I use a teapot for watering my plants. I love to water them with this beautiful little teapot 😊
ОтветитьI love love love this video. Thank you for new insights! :-)
ОтветитьThis is what over thinking gets you! This is what being a slave to the NWO will get you. YOU WILL HAVE NOTHING AND BE HAPPY! LMAO SHEEP!!!
This is the IN time way of thinking for people with no real interests, no real lives. De cluttering is a lot different than minimal living.
You are weak.
I love your videos. Thank you so much. I’m a teacher, too, and when I come home at the end of the chaotic work day, my home is my sanctuary! I’m trying little by little to de-clutter and let go of the stuff. Clutter stresses me out more, and your videos help me learn not to panic about letting go of things, but to realize it will be okay. :-)
ОтветитьI don't own a lot, but what I do own is high end & quality. Personally, I dislike clutter and I dislike having to repurchase bad quality items all the time.
ОтветитьBeing a financial adviser, I’m always encouraging people to minimalist living. It’s helped me a lot financially, and through advising and encouraging others they’ve benefitted as well 😁
ОтветитьI came here after watching Dave2D's videos!
ОтветитьThank you for your video. Last year, I've moved 3 times because of work and all I have is my car and my essential things. Everything fits and it's easy to just go anywhere.
ОтветитьLuxury for me is really nice pillows and sheets. White fluffy. Nice quality bedding. We spend a lot of time in bed so why not be very cozy.
ОтветитьLove this! Simple pleasures, I would like to a nice yard without mud, and maybe one day experience a pedicure! LoL it's too easy to get caught up in what the media says is luxurious. Never been caught up in the "diamonds" but it is easy to look at what others have and want it!
ОтветитьI do have my wedding ring: 3 tiny diamonds for a total of one karat. I also have a peridot ring with one tiny diamond in it those are the only diamonds I own. I am all too aware of the diamond “precious gem” scam. I don’t like a lot of jewelry, anyway.
ОтветитьI do not and have never owned a diamond. "Diamonds are forever" , but even marriage is only "til death do us part".
ОтветитьFunctional fixedness... The opposite of Marie Kondo when she decluttered her hammer and then used a FRYING PAN to bang in a nail! Then you gave to buy a hammer AND a new frying pan, so think carefully before trying to get a tool to multifunction.
ОтветитьI can’t get “A Diamond is a Girl’s Best Friend” 🎶 out of my head now. That said, I’m very aware of the lack of ethical practices in the diamond industry, so I’ve never wanted one, either.
Ответитьsoft cozy blanket, a book with a cup of good coffee. :). nope, no diamonds, i do own a few rings, ive had them for years.
ОтветитьLol. When my husband proposed to me, he knew I didn't want a diamond, so he asked what some things were that I would need. I was 37 and had a house and a small business. He ended up giving me an "engagement laptop." 💻 Which we also used at our wedding reception, playing music on a digital playlist. 10 years later, we still use it to play yoga videos and music in my craft room/music studio/yoga room. ❤💕
ОтветитьI felt fancy AF when i bought a parlor palm plant.
ОтветитьHonest question: why don’t minimalists have color in their homes? It always looks so sterile.
ОтветитьThanks Sarah, another encouraging, practical video! Your suggestion on object fixedness helps against give-away regret - a big guilt-point! The luxury suggestion creates an atmosphere of thankfulness for the multiple luxuries we have, but take for granted. The diamond story was interesting and thought-provoking. You do such a nice job of keeping your videos simple enough to digest and put into practice and interesting enough to be satisfying to watch. Keep up the great work and thanks again!
ОтветитьThis video is so eye opening. I’m trying to become a minimalist.
Looking forward to watching your old and new videos. You just got a new subscriber.
Ok you lost me at “diamonds are not special “... No. I still want my ring girl lol
Ответитьyou sure talk a lot for a minimalist
ОтветитьI've always planned to marry someone who is okay with buying rings at a pawn shop (and driving used cars). Especially because I want to marry another female someday, so rings could get expensive if you let them, lol! I recently learned, though, that Quakers used to give wedding thimbles, since they couldn't wear jewelry and it was a necessary tool. I will ask my future spouse for one of those, a vintage one.
ОтветитьWhen we got married In 1990, we bought plain white gold bands. Later I wanted a gold band with channelled diamonds. Found one at a pawn shop for $40. It has teeny tiny diamonds but I didn't care! I also have a gold band with larger fake diamonds that I wear to company functions etc. Looks expensive and I won't cry if it gets lost or stolen. But mostly I just wear the white gold band for every day.
ОтветитьYour coffee table is cluttered, therefore NOT minimalist. You have several pictures behind you, again, not minimalist in design. Sorry, you don’t fit the minimalist design or lifestyle.
ОтветитьI love my diamond ring.
ОтветитьI have 1 ring ; I bought it for me! One day I moved it to my left ring finger ; I don’t take it off; for me it’s a covenant between me and Jesus. And as of 2 weeks ago I started wearing my mother-in-law who is passed over , a piece of silver sterling bracelet on my left wrist. I surely do love it, the weight of it, the heavyduty 2/3 rows of a beautifully made piece of jewelry!! The matching necklace is broke or I would wear it too. Everyday! As I practice clearing out my goods to become more minimalist life style.
