I love IkeA. It’s not only affordable,it’s modular design so it can expand forever. Light airy design, and also the store experience is unparalleled.

After having my van a few years I upgraded to Ikea kitchen cabinets for storage (started with plastic bins). Ikea is much more affordable than many options.

I just bought a few days ago a 2019 Ford Transit 150

I actually got most of my van build items at ALDI of all places! Even the Bed, mattresses furniture, lights ect! Aldi So many special "seasonal items" that are perfect for my van!

IKEA furniture doesn't hold together in a stationary room..It has no chance in a vehicle. It's CRAP!

In a small van use the upper wall cabinets as your main floor cabinets. They’re much more slimline.

Luckily most vans are pretty much straight upright walls up to around 3 feet from the floor. Perfect for a kitchen etc.

When I'm ready, I'm going to IKEA first.

I'd worry about ikea cabinets shaking loose over time, but you could put some L brackets from a hardware store strategically inside to firm up the structure and heavy duty glues while putting it together.

IKEA has. 18” deep cabinets which are great for van builds

My favorite IKEA item for my van is their Inner spring twin mattress. It’s less than 4 inches thick (really important for a micro camper). It stands up great to using it for both sitting and sleeping. (Over a year now). It is very easy to cut to size. It has small one inch diameter coils that are individual pocket wrapped, so you can easily cut between the coils without having to cut the coils themselves. I like a fairly firm mattress and foam just doesn’t standup to use for both a bench seat and a bed. Cost $99! I just glued a strip of foam along the cut edges before sewing covers. If you can’t find the twin size, they have a crib mattress that is the same construction. Get two (more expensive and a bit more work).

Underwear is gross but you touched it alot. But IKEA is fantastic.

Hi, it s also my idea to set up my van with Kallax cubbes from ikea. Because they can be combinend so well with drawers, doors and trays. Usually you get it second hand for free.
