ENDING | Half-Life: Alyx | Let's Play | Part 22 | VR Gameplay Walkthrough

Christopher, it’s funny i almost feel like you’re an old war buddy after going through half life. Being new to gaming I learned a lot in general from you about how these things work, what and when to expect the unexpected. This being only the second game I’ve played, the other was Arizona Sunshine, any recommendations for what i should look at next? Much appreciated!

If they don't work on Half Life 3 after that ending... The worst part is, I thought the same after the Episode 2 ending, with Gaben literally talking about working on episode 3 in the dev commentary. But this time they quite literally spoke to us, in Gordon's form, with that handing over the crowbar. I hope they won't disappoint us again.

Valve does not know how to count to 3. Also alex is into this sleep type thing that Gordon went into at the end of Half Life 1.

Been replaying this lately, and came across your series. You really did a brilliant job in the entire walkthrough. Some others have rehearsed so much that they don't make any mistakes, or just edit them out, which does affect the credibility a little.

If Valve doesn't make a follow up to this game they are crazy! Half-Life Alyx chapter 2 is a slam dunk!

Oh man, this was a truly great game and a true killer app for VR. This is how VR should be implemented. Unfortunately most other titles are pure crap. This game sets a benchmark for how VR games should be done going forward.
I don't have a VR setup but I so want to play this game. However I don't feel it's worth it getting a VR setup when there's basically only one proper VR game on the market. VR needs many more of this kind of game that really plays to the strength of the medium.
The other games I've seen so far are really crappy ports of regular games or terrible, simplistic games with awful graphics. The only other really good thing I've seen is Rich's plank experience but that's only 5 minutes of fun, not a full game.

So basically we have to wait for Valve to revolutionize another field in gaming again before we get whatever will come next. Because as you know, HL2 was made to showcase the Source Engine's physics and HL Alyx was made to showcase Source 2's VR capabilities. So now we wait.

I was one of your first subscribers and I subbed because you were playing the Half-Life series, starting at Half-Life 1. I have just finished Half-Life: Alyx and watching your LP was first on my list. I am so happy to see you enjoyed this as much as I had and hope to see you play more Half-Life games in the future. Wow, so basically Half Life is Doctor Who, but now the doctor is an asshole antagonist and the protags are just his human buddies (i.e. "employee") that trying to kick his sneaky time traveling ass for being an asshole to everyone.

ok so the women shadow was judith mosman eli and gordan now what? since Alyx and Shepard are with G-man so now we're heading for that ship from portal, and now what eli said in episode 2 "no not another black mesa, it's more profound now"

I know it is late, but does this mean for this ending, to save Eli Vance, 19yr old Alyx accepted the contract from G Man, but the Episode 2 ending is Alyx is dead there and she became Gordon Freeman? Did she replace Gordon Freeman's existence by taking over his body?

they now have to make half-life "4" because they maid you in gordan freeman at the end

They better release Half-life 3 or Episode 3 after that ending. I'll even buy a VR kit if they do!

This is like the coolest game reveal ever. They had to do all that to reveal Half-Life 3, imagine how insane that game is going to be.

That game would probably give me PTSD. But it would be worth it.
