Need for Speed: Undercover - Retrospective

hood view the speed felt spot on and control also was top notch going around corners top speed , not like other racing games were you slide all over like on ice and feels like your going really slowwww, I liked the story , I liked the missions , I spent hours customizing my cars , sound of the cars was spot on, I played and beat the game must of been at least 50 times , this is my Fav.NFS game. there is a lot of bad things to talk about every NFS game but this game was fun and the speed was like no other out there .

The ps3 version was the only game ive EVER played where the world failed to load and I went though the road into HELL. Utterly unplayable.

nfs undercover was actually not that bad

This game wasn’t replayable but it wasn’t bad. The only real gripe I had was the absence of drifting. Yeah the cut scenes where honestly comical. Not bad as what has been in these games and they seem to actually have good actors. Yeah graphics wherent the best but I don’t care much the races and free roam worked fine for me. The cops sucked tho the chases where weak and if you got any type of heat you can’t drive around. But for me the sound track and high end cars made it fun. But the customization sucked. I enjoyed the game cuz it was an open world game

wait, this game has scenes and voice lines? never encountered them in 5+ attempts :O i am shocked

Man Need for Speed fans seem to hate any NFS game that isn't Most Wanted

I swear whenever I played this game on the Xbox 360 the dumb shitty motion blur and cranked up exposure graphics made my game lag and stutter so hard to the point where I would lose control from not being able to see and crash and lose the race.

Prostreet was the perfect game for the wrong market. One of the best racing games ever.. but NFS kids ruined its future and hated it because "what no cops or free roam!!😢😢" Prostreet has the best vibe in any racing game i ever played.

The story was cringe but i loved it.

The weird thing about the size of the cop cars is they look like they fit the scale of the roads/world way better than the player car

It's a game filled with potential that's unrealized. Don't be this hypercritical. This game is an unfinished one, but it's not bad

I love this game it took me a while to ever finish it also because I was 7 years old and dint know English back then and it was my first Game (racing game ever ) in my frist ps3 the fat version but I’m surprised on watching this video I never experienced the breaking failure wish I did or is it cause different versions ?

Pro street was the only racing exclusive game I ever 100%. When my buddy and I were shit faced playing undercover we found out if u hit certain walls the right way u ended up going faster after collision. Yeah real need for speed mechanics if u ask me.

I prefer this over most of the modern NFS games, other than NFS Heat, 2015 and Unbound

The game is bad it looks awful that is true...but I love this game deeply hear me out........my uncle got me undercover an hot pursuit as my first racing games an sparked my love for racing games so it holds a special place in my heart I got those games when I was a little kid

beside lotus elise there are another 2 good cars and they are Camaro SS and Plymouth Baracuda

I beat the game, and made it on psp too, but because of soundtrack holds entire not really good game, yeah, for me soundtrack here keeps this entire building, and thats the part, i think, EA should learn for now days again, i got used to its handling, i have no complaints to senseless story, i just ok with it, i consider this game as not bad action movie about mafia and cars with great soundtrack, you dont have to found deep sense in those kind of movies but you watch them only when you want some action, so thats when im playing this...
The game itself at least is not giving cringey guesstions about quality like new NFS Unbound, and mods today can save any bad game, especially old bad game, at least for now you don't have to give EA money for this 😂

The PS2 version of Undercover is like a more broken hybrid of Carbon & Most Wanted. Really buggy and unpolished but i liked it.

This game was fine when I was 12, looking back on it 15 years later at the age of 27 hypocritically is kinda over the top.

Playing this game at 480p back in the day was fine tbh, I was a teenager before the internet hit, so it was all fine tbh. It was hard tho in handling but I miss the pursuit breakers that we last seen in this game.

Gotta to say this, the soundtrack is excellent.

recently i started a nfs playtrough and messed up the order. so i played the run before this... and... i have no words for it... 😵‍💫.
got back to undercover and ... it feels a bit more playable, if you accept the ugly visuals and the weird control.
the only thing i like in uc is the big map. the only thing i like in tr is that the image looks big, like a real world. all of the rest of those games... is... 😵‍💫.
so im here to confirm, that im not the only one like that 👉😵‍💫.
nfs has more than 1 black sheep.
