Wow you have a very nice jeep.I have a '47 CJ 2-A that is in good condition, rebuilt engine ford brakes as well as other minor repairs. However I've got a lot of more major repairs to deal with.

Does anyone know why a CJ2A would not have a Parking/Emergency brake cane or even spot for it?

What’s all this about having an ignition key, my jeep in the forties only had a switch.must have been a reject.

my dad has a 1947 jeep too but it’s not a willy’s one and my dads one has a driffrent colour it got same thing and everything but the brakes beasley work so dad stops super early lol and once i was in the jeep and it rolled into the fence 😭😭😭😳and i was inside the jeep but it was made in america but brought to australlia

When the slave cylinder goes out that's it you can't get any good replacements anymore to actually shift Because the seals are no good from china....

First vehicle I ever owned was a '57 Willys CJ5 with the F-head four banger, point it any direction and it would drive over it or through it without hesitation! Always wanted a classic flatty like this though.

It really sucks that we will never see a time again. when such a simple, fundamental, easy to operate, easy to repair, all purpose vehicle will ever be produced again. so much for progress is all I can say?

My son is special needs and he loves classic jeeps like that one he says they don't make them like that anymore but wishes they would with no microprocessors in them just pure mechanics and with character and simplicity.

The Jeepney became the most popular means of transportation in the Philippines since then & it's part of the Filipino culture
