I have an EVGA RTX 2080ti FTW 3 - what size thermal pads does it take and whats the best thermal paste to use.. Its running fine atm ( same temps as from new ) but i know its going to need new pads ect in the next yr or so.
ОтветитьHi, Im having the same issue with my GPU, where it would crash after the PC updates the GPU driver.
Ive already tried to boot it in safe mode and used DDU to uninstall previous driver and fresh install.
Updated MOBO bios, and flashed vbios ):
I tried joining your discord but the link doesnt work anymore.
Can’t imagine sending my card for repair and not be willing to pay for thermal pads😂 people are crazy
ОтветитьI love you show and watch every day. Out of your measurements. Can you explain the reason for pex reset with polarity reversed? Thank you SO much for sharing! I know it means a lot to your followers and I. Keep up the fantastic work!
ОтветитьWhere would you live
ОтветитьI am Pacific Northwest also. My honey bees just came in. Well what kind of winter do you think we will have? I am in Central Washington so colder than the coast. Just hoping for a warm winter so my bees make it.
Ответитьexactly the same problem with my msi ventus 1660 super, i’ll just have to save money for the repair while using my gt1030.
can i ask for the estimate cost for this kind of repair?
The first song, Foundation, Totally is a Get Lucky, Daft punk type beat.
ОтветитьHey, I have the same problem with my EVGA 2080ti black 11Go, my gpu wont even boot properly and it shows a black screen, it seems it tries to boot indefinitely and only one fan blows at 100% speed. I assume this either is a bad contact with a thermal pad (but why would only one fan kick off?) or a faulty thermal controler, either way, has any of you suffered the same symptoms?
ОтветитьI have a palit 2080ti with exactly the same issue. Shame your in the US.
Ответитьthank you for these videos , pure therapy ❤
Ответитьsadly you are too far from where i live the peopel who near u they so lucky !!!! gj master
ОтветитьI don’t think I could ever successfully reball a core, maybe it’s because I can’t really see everything you’re doing, but it seems like an impossible task
Ответитьi love it!
Ответить👍🏿You make me want to collect broken GPU units and explore -- I'm loving IT!..
Ответитьomg do yourself a favour and get an electric screwdriver! lol
Ответитьcan i know what is your assist temperature of hot air when reballing?
ОтветитьYou are a genius when it comes down to troubleshooting these things and thank you for adding music at the none talking bits
ОтветитьRepair Por n =)
Ответитьthat's the curse of big silicon dies
Thermal cycling is deadly.
Watercooling is the only solution
Your works is very good. In addition, this music would make a great addition to minecraft
ОтветитьSo what was the actual problem? I still don´t get it. I had the same problem with two AMD cards and had to send them back. I really want to know whats causing these black screens
ОтветитьI have a 2080 ti zotac so the problem was a memory so i buy a new one and install it, and so sad that shit fail again lol.
ОтветитьAlot of people seem to think you did this but it was Linus
ОтветитьBeautiful job, WOW!
ОтветитьAnnoying music grr!
ОтветитьThis is miles away from microsoldering, pro equipment and skills
ОтветитьTry airbrush with IPA to clean flux from under the BGAs.
ОтветитьHow much do you ask for such repairs as this?
ОтветитьI have this card and had to put another cooler on it since it was super loud and warm.
ОтветитьBoggles my mind at how many connections are on a processor and how you do it which also amazes me on how you do it so well I love watching you do what you do. I also like soldering stuff just to try to make things work but not as near a level as yours
ОтветитьGood job! 👍But how was you so sure that this is a gpu related prolem? In 2000 series cards memory problems can cause same symptoms, and often its pass mats without any problem. I have a zotac 2080 with the same symptoms you had, but I cant decide its a gpu or a memory problem. The memory is samsung, and just a little bit brownish, nvmt and mats pass just fine, but mods detect assertion failure. When driver loads sometimes its give signal, but black screen, sometimes dont give signal at all. What do you think, should I just reball the core, or I need to do something with the memory?
Ответить70 degrees on load is not bad at all 😅
I am amazed by your work. Really cool to see you accomplish results after re-applying the GPU die, only using your hands. There were a lot of connections in there.
if anything happens to my card i know who i will send it to. subscribing now. Literally no brainer. He has the tools and experience, i just hope it wont be too costly but if you spend 500 on a gpu i think you can afford to repair it aswell. thanks for reading.
ОтветитьCould you please explain what kind of programs are necessary to open those board schematics? Those should be CAD files, but I doubt AutoCad would open them.
ОтветитьYou are definetly best video card fixer i ever watched, thanks for button of joy and other funny comments! Your reballing proces is priceless to me ! God bless you man !
ОтветитьHappy to see another unlucky owner will get their gpu back in working condition.
ОтветитьGreat video, It's crazy to see you work sometimes. I've tried my hand at soldering and it never works out.
ОтветитьNice repair! Keep it up.
ОтветитьHey, I would be interested in a video showing off the tools you use, where you got them and what you use them for. I am a bit of a tinkerer and I am thinking about gathering the equipment to do these kind of repairs.
ОтветитьLove your vids man, I keep watching them, and I am always looking for your next one. You are a supreme dc circuit guy. I used to repair ipods, iphones, ipads when they were first released. Some experience behind me. I know... you know those 100 screws you mentioned may definitely help with the pcb warping due to years and years of heating up and cooling. I love EVGA, I am so sad on their video card market and have no clue who to start buying from next. Would love your advice. cheers !
ОтветитьExcellent work as always sir!
ОтветитьLoved it.
ОтветитьEhm i think this is a 2080ti :P 11 vram modules on a 2080? Why?
ОтветитьI love how every time i watch a new NWR video I notice he's got at least 500 more subs than last time! Keep it up bro, you're a GOAT!
ОтветитьAnother great video. I do wish the card manufacturers would make the thermal pad sizes more readily available.
ОтветитьWhere do you get the template for the solder balls, for all the different GPUs?
Ответить
