OMG you would have looked ridiculous and pathetic. How self obsession has become the norm is so grotesque to me. The posing, the CONSTANT picture taking while trying to enjoy the moment… I’ll never get into it. I still prefer candids over posed pictures too. It makes looking at your memories from the past more fun bc you see what everyone was doing in the moment. I am still not comfortable pulling out my phone and interrupting people to take a pic so I rarely do… I’ll let others if they want. I’m just a different generation, I know…. But trust me when you grew up before this happened, it’s disturbing and concerning.
SM unleashed a Narcissistic Movement. It’s just not normal. I’m worried for all that is coming. The younger kids’ minds are getting so warped. Now they have to go through, what I see all the time, getting a little older and figuring out how meaningless their social media accounts are to their lives as well as how destructive it has become with all the damn suicides/depression etc it has caused. I feel sorry for all these kids having to grow up this way. Ugh

I think breaking the Facebook addiction was hard for me, but there were too many snoops and toxic in-laws, shitty relatives, crappy co-workers, etc., so it’s back to a peaceful and more private life .

I deleted my Instagram account over five years ago. I found folloeing celebrities showing me their Rolls Royces and gigantic mansions quite depressing. I was tsking photos of travel destinations wnd i found that i was more interested in taking photos than enjoying the experience. Instagram is a ridiculously false representation of the world and everyone is competing. It is very sad.

Honestly, not only have I learned so much, but the quality and content alone is worth watching every episode. Just gold.

Tell you the truth I don’t like about social media is scammers and people hacking people’s accounts. Specially on Facebook because when you report it Facebook don’t do anything about it and just like that you lose your account!!
