What’s the anime at the beginning?
ОтветитьHi Andy. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. My iPhone randomly decided to act funny and slow so I restarted it. I was in the shower beforehand. I did not think it was exposed to any water but I guess I could be wrong. It was stuck in boot mode where the apple logo flashes. Now, It will not leave recovery mode. I tried to update or restore but I keep getting the error code 4013. I am going to buy a phone opener kit and rubbing alcohol. I am going to disconnect the sensor as you mentioned. I am going to clean whatever corrosion has occurred and reconnect the part. We will see where this goes. I do not want to waste time or money on the apple store who will tell me the phone is a wash.
ОтветитьOmg thank you I just opened it and then pours rubbing alcohol on it and fixed it
ОтветитьHi Andy, Thanks a lot. Removing the proximity sensor cable and hooking it again to itune solved my problem. You are a super hero.
Ответитьyou sir have fixed this iPhone thats been in a drawer for 2+ years. great work sir.
Ответитьlifesaver... proximity sensor was stopping the phone from restoring after getting stuck in a boot loop. disconnected and started restoring no issues :)
ОтветитьFinally an honest answer that doesn’t want any money for some stupid program, thank you
ОтветитьWorked perfectly. Thank you so much, other videos are all bs
ОтветитьI used a vacuum since you said there was evaporation in my iphone since I was scared to open it and it worked so thank you so much.
ОтветитьThese comments must be fake cause how did this help
ОтветитьWelp, I followed this and fixed my phone. Such a stupid solution haha, well done for finding it out, thanks!
ОтветитьRemoving the FaceID connector and restoring from the PC worked for me. Then plug it back in. Thank you so much! Praise the LORD.
ОтветитьWOW! my iphone xs had this problem and was stuck in a bootloop/recovery mode and after removing the part connecting the upper speaker ITS WORKING AGAIN! super happy. The face id is off now but i now have all my data back and saved myself lots of money. THX.
ОтветитьTHAANK YOU! You saved all my pictures!!
ОтветитьIs it the same for iPhone 13 pro max? :/
ОтветитьWow Andy! Thank you very much. This worked perfectly to get my iPhone X started again. I was getting the exact same symptoms you stated. The Apple store couldn't help me, other than offering to sell me a new phone. None of the iOS repair programs i tried (Dr Fone) would even recognize the device to let me get started on a possible software/firmware repair. I was thinking it was a hardware issue, so I'm so glad I came upon your video. I never use facial recognition so no big loss for me. Very well done video. Thanks again.
ОтветитьA million thanks! I can't tell you how much stress and money you saved me!
Ответитьi honestly cant thank you enough, i had been searching for 3 weeks my hope was running out on trying to repair my Iphone 11 & although this was directed more towards people with earlier versions of the iphone i can confirm this DID indeed WORK for my Iphone 11 Pro Max!. Once again thank you so very much.
ОтветитьThis worked for me! Thanks a lot.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Question, did you lose any data?
ОтветитьAnyone know if this happens to work for the 12 pro max?
ОтветитьThank you so much Andy!! Really cannot thank you enough. Did everything and this was really my last hope before I trash the phone. You're the best!!!
ОтветитьYou are my hero thanks a lot its work on my phone.
ОтветитьWorked for me thank you very much :)
ОтветитьThis video is true. I brought my Xs to the repair shop after this error(ubreakifix) and they did this exact same fix. Luckily Bo was charged nothing so it’s fine. Having no Face ID sucks but hey at least 90% of the stuff works
ОтветитьI just fixed my son’s XS. Took out the earpiece cable, unfolded it, and cleaned off corrosion using a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Put it back together and everything works - including Face ID and True Tone. Had to get an opening kit for $20 and adhesive (waterproofing) for $7 from Amazon. Seems like corrosion through the earpiece is a common issue with the XS. Don’t know if I trust my waterproofing abilities, but I followed the ifixit guide for that.
ОтветитьHi Andy, if i were to remove the proximity sensor will components such as the ear speaker work fine?
ОтветитьExcellent video, just tried and fixed my problem. I can retrieve all data. I have brought to Apple store and they said it’s a problem related to motherboard. BS! Your suggestion fixed my problem. Thank you so much
ОтветитьDid you have to reinstall the software after you disconnected the proximity sensor?
ОтветитьExcellent Suggestion! Happy to know that the phone can boot up with this cable unplugged. Goes a long way in diagnosing the boot loops and ruling out logic board damage. You saved a customers valuable data!
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing this video 👍
ОтветитьGreat video, this fixed my boot loop problem, be careful when taking out the screen as it can easily crack.
ОтветитьHi Andy. I have an iPhone 11 Pro with this same problem. I bring it to an repair store and they told me that the iPhone have an motherboard problem and one chip supposed has to be replaced. The iPhone still there in the repair shop, but I ask myself if I take the iPhone back and do the same what you doing here it will help me ?
ОтветитьWhat about a brand new iPhone XR with this issue
ОтветитьLOL thanks bud, Your a legend it Worked for me...The apple store said it was a software issue and could not repair, How Genius are they.
ОтветитьThank you for the great help! It worked on iphone 8 plus. Too bad my gfs mac wiped her data. I should have used my pc for the code. Cheers! 😊
ОтветитьThis worked for me too!! I’m so grateful thank you so much.
I was at my wits end, Waiting for it to update and then recover was tense! watching that little bar fill up seemed like an eternity. This 100% worked even though Apple said my phone was bricked and I would need to pay a data recovery expert to extract all my data!!! Massive thumbs up!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I have a phone that works now, otherwise I had to trash it.
ОтветитьThx u dude. 😭 u my hero 😭😭😭😭😭😭 thanks you soomuch 🙏🏻😇
ОтветитьCan it work on iPhone 6
ОтветитьUnplug the camera from the board and then restore. Once it’s finished turn the phone off and connect the camera.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this, I tried everything before and nothing worked. Borrowed a repair tools from a friend and fixed my iPhone XS in 1 hour with no experience with fixing phones before. I also ordered proximity sensor online for 6€.
Local iPhone repair servis would charge me 30€ just for inspection and with the information I given to them they said it's almost 100% mother board problem and it would cost me 200€ to replace it. <3
I will wait for your message, please do reply me ASAP
ОтветитьHello @Andy Haslam, I am facing the same issue now. Could you please tell me that After you removed that large strip of proximity sensor, were your ear speaker, mic etc. working fine?
Ответитьomg this just happened to my iphone XR. Thank you so much for sharing this!!! really helpful!!!
Ответитьcant believe you spend in iphones $1000 + when Tim Cook Has China assemble them for about $180-200 dollars and it gives u this kind of issues what a waste of time and effort poor quality
ОтветитьCan I fix it without opening my iphone
ОтветитьSo when you remove this sensor you lose face I'd, but do you also lose the ability to use the phone as a headset since the ear piece is also attached?
ОтветитьI also have data since 2015 i don't want to lose dad passed away from covid and my mum died of cancer I would do anything to get my data back as I got austim and this affecting my mental health bad luck as end of last week I was waiting for a new ipad to come so I can transfer things to the ipad
