wow, it's a fabulous amount of awesome material here in this vid! things that all this brings to mind..

- when a would-be victim produces a gun it instantly motivates the assailants to run away, shots not even need to be fired.
- have a gun (practice too of course, duh).
- have an awareness based on a self-defense mentality (even better to get training).
- protect gun rights. the person that saves you with a gun may not be you.
- something similar to the usual feature that opens only the driver's door first would be nice for Uber and similar workers such that the driver can open just the door(s) of his choice.
- out of sight and out of reach (except for you), like the door-panel, is your friend.
- by the above let the message be obvious to criminals that all their would-be victims may be the "they picked the wrong guy" guy or gal 😎
- invited in but then they go to rob you or worse, so then there's no castle doctrine? hmm 🤔hopefully a basic self-defense legal defense covers our hero here.
- have one in the chamber. there's that risk that you're scared of but the risk of failure when you need it is greater.

- what a tough truth that once you shoot "everything changes." it means that in the moment we have to consider saving the life of the perpetrator attacking and possibly taking our life versus an expense of our life in the future once the bullet leaves the barrel. I've made my decision. yours will be yours. may I suggest you make yours ahead of time. what we know is that you'll be making it in the situation too. I don't have an easy answer.
- can't make the time for the range? ammo not cheap? definitely at least play the "mental game" of possibilities in your head so you can be better ready for the real thing should it happen. hey, do that anyways even when you can make the range and the ammo. you're doing us all a favor.

I find that lawyer’s “castle doctrine” explanation to be highly suspect. You’re telling me that if I invited people into my home or vehicle who then proceeded to commit a violent armed robbery on me that I wouldn’t be protected by the castle doctrine? I don’t think so.

I presume the attorney was paid for through his USCCA membership?
My tendency would be to blab away to officers, viewing them as my friends, trying to figure out what happened and therefore helping them deal with the scene. And if I lock up on them and say I need to talk to an attorney, it sounds guilty.
