Sadly, both Sheets and Excel Online tool do not have the full power of the offline version of Excel.

We have a good number of files which have scripts and such that can not be converted. We are switching to 365 (with offline Office separately) and we like the 1TB per user drive space. Our users are actually more comfortable with Excel itself. It would be impossible for us to operate with some of our customers if we had a policy of "everything must use the new tech".

Hi Chris, thanks for this video as I'm starting to use G Suite more in my work and starting to recommending tools to others. There are many good points mentioned by Olivier here. At the end of the day, choosing the right tool for the business, your team and clients will be more than happy to switch.

Good video... 8 years ago, the user was not using Microsoft, he was actually using iWorks. Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are iWork products

I know this is an old video, but based on the features back then, this guy compared G-suite with Offline Office and not Online Office 365. Basically all the features he "liked" about G Suite exists in Online Office. The difference is Office is sorta Offline first, and G Suite is Online first. G Suite have less features which makes the learning curve shallower, but Office 365 tend to have way more features and apps that it can get confusing (Especially when MS purchases new services that overlap their own services) their is also a trend for business that use G Suite to abandon it for 365 later on. I have no idea why, but I'm sure it is because of those extra features they may need when their business grows. Anyway, although I think his info on O365 may be a bit inaccurate his methodology in how he choose his tools was more valuable.

I can't stand ms shitware tbh, I don't even allow my employees to use it as an os or any of their software. Ubuntu desktop and g suite has such a higher uptime compared to the endless issues I've had using Microsoft

Thanks - very helpful video, answering exactly the questions we wanted answers to for our small distributed team. One question: what do you do about your offline work - docs, spreadsheets and slide decks? Eg where you don't need the collaborative aspect. Do you still run Office for those?

I really liked this session. Echoing alext980169, I think that some homework needs to be done on O365. The biggest issues I have seen for 99% of clients that used Google is that they ended up with O365. O365 has better privacy features and as alext980169 stated, O365 gives you amazing tools that exceed the g-apps. I would recommend really evaluating O365.

As the MS fan boy I really didn't hear anything that astonished me or is new that I haven't seen on O 365 using tools like Teams, Sway, Modern Groups, Yammer, Planner, Skype for Business and the like all in Combo. Coauthoring is a no brainer in modern work life. Comparison of tool vs. tool is old fashioned as said in the video. Homework needs to be done here my dear G fan boy. :-)
