How to easily make Hinges - including the Jig - using Basic Tools

This was a great little project that I've been meaning to get to for a long time. I should've mentioned in the video that if you don't have access to a milling machine with a slitting saw I'd just manage with an angle grinder. I'd clamp a guide to keep the cut square. A diamond cut off wheel should be about 1.5mm and would be a good option.

Try your hand at coopering. Make a small bucket or jug and use the scrap wood to make the staves.

Have you tried making a double wrap-around hinge for boards .75 inch (19mm) thick? I'm having trouble finding a decent one that's not for kitchen cabinets and it looks like replicating your jig is the way to go.

I am impressed, is there any thing that you can’t do., I have two suggestions,
1) when you scribe using the dial calipers you damage the tip, make an appropriate scribe plate ,
2 ) rather than paining over the pins, use centre punch to fix the pin
