Epic Trailer breakdown man! i also note that the new character has feminine like qualities, and the shoes look like they have a heel to them - the helmet visor looks almost identical to the vision Eidi has - i wonder if this is perhaps a machine as opposed to an organic life form which is now enlisted as N7 - 100% agree the character gives of James bond vibes, so what if this is another tier of N7 which hasnt been explored. Either way, love your work and super excited to see where this goes!

Mass effect trilogy is still one of my all time favorite games. Especially today when you see so many garbage AAA games it makes you appreciate what we once had.

A more intrigue based space secret agent story with a small more close nit crew of operatives would be a great game to play.

You gave me an idea about a possible mission we might end up playing in the game itself but I wonder if since we’re on a covert kind of style play this time around if we may be responsible for sneaking up to a ship and either assassinating somebody from the inside or covertly stealing/eliminating the crew of a ship to prevent it from doing something. Maybe even sneaking aboard a ship in order to plant an explosive so the ship can’t go anywhere.

i wonder if we can play as the anti hero type character, instead of joining the alliance maybe it could be a different thing. i kind of hope that is the case but with bioware their games mostly has you as the hero its fine n ok but eh prays for something different for once

One point, you don't precisely know that is the new protagonist. They could very well be the antagonist.

They need to make a really good game for me to forget red, blue and green. It still makes me sad that the best Mass Effect game had the worst ending of all time.

I'm getting a ME-1 vibe from this new trailer, the prelude before war. Perhaps we are playing an agent trying to prevent a war before it even starts. Additionally: I sincerely hope that the story and the game in its entirety is better than ME:A, that was a definite flop at release.

I hope the messy Dreadwolf doesn't compromise the development on the new Mass Effect. They should be all in on the new ME game and just take the hit on Dreadwolf, it's been in development hell for so long and so compromised at this point that I feel they're wasting time on it.

When was it said that shepard 's story was over? The consensus seems to be that this is fem shepard somehow. Besides, all of this buildup for it to not be shepard would probably make a lot of people disappointed. Why hype up a face reveal of a character no one knows?

For all the "ambience" created in this teaser trailer and for the messages associated with the discovery of this video, I would say with 100% certainty that what we are seeing is the antagonist and not the hero.

With it not being Shepard or anything related to that story and with the weird trench coat outfit I'm not all that optimistic that it's not going to suck like Andromeda or worse. In fact I think it probably will suck horrendously. And if it hasn't even entered PRE-PRODUCTION that makes me think we're more like 5-8 years away.

The trouble is the game will not be made by the people who brought us 1,2 & 3 but the people who made Andromeda. The new BioWare have lost all their talent, is filled with people who have pronouns in their bio and rail against the male gaze.

Interesting reading through the mixed feelings people have about another protagonist. Person I’m onboard with the idea that if we don’t continue as Shepard it’s not gonna gauge my interest. Reason why we cherish the character so much because we’ve emotionally invested ourselves in the idea we are this person. Why Andromeda for was a complete swing and a miss. It’s like why reinvent the wheel when you already perfected the formula for an incredible franchise. If my girl Tali and Shepard aren’t part of the story at that point I’d rather just play another game. It’s the same feeling I had in Dragon age 2. Why the hell would I care about this second angsty character when I was so invested in the Grey Warden back in Origins.
