Just over 100 years ago the first steam engine powered trains took to the rails travelling at about 30 miles an hour was considered fast in the early days. Today, although some steam engine powered trains still exist they are historic pieces used mainly for special tours or museums. Electric powered trains replaced the steam engine and today we have high speed trains travelling at just under 400 mph. in the near future this will also be replaced and considered slow. whatever next???
