Just to clear.. The statement is wrong :: Stock price and Mcap is the same thing..doubling stock price already means double mcap (Assuming no corporate action and no capital raise so same no of shares.). Statement should be "Profit need not double and hence PE expansion may cause/help stock price (in turn mcap) to double.

Are baba Akshat it's not always about profit and loss.. but the future prospect and other variables as well.. the NIMs for CUB has been shrinking for past many quarters.. their biz is lending to SMEs which is not doing well rather defaults happening here and there that's why CUB has not done well in last couple of years.. and about KOTAK and Hdfcbank contracting PE, it had to happen.. they won't ever trade on past premiums now as the growth phase has come to a halt.. there would just be decent growth in these stocks.. eg Maruti Suzuki made a high of 9600 approx and then it took so many darn years for it to break that high.. in between Maruti's PE was contracting as well.. so buddy don't divide everything in black and white.. many many variables work in deciding a stock's valuation, anyway thanks for your input and knowledge sharing

I have been investing in equities through SIP route for more than 10 yrs, i buy stocks of all large cap companies, since i had not invested lumpsum amts to buy these stocks but purchased it in small small qtys every month n accumulated it, in this journey i have got shares of companis like Infosys at lower prices, now my question is we just keep buying n accumulate as all say goods stock needs to be held long term, than unless u sell how do we make profits, only profits now i receive is the dividends given by these companies, Can anybody pl guide

Two improvement points I would suggest is 1. Pls do not use Hindi words in between English presentation. I could not understand what you are explaining in Hindi.

But the losses have reduced consistently over the years and is now in profits for last 2 quaters. Technicals are also looking good.
