I’m curious to know if the cloud inside the 7db sounds the exact same as the cloudlifter with a regular sm7b , I have noticed the cloudlifter makes the sm7b sound more open compared to other brands out there
ОтветитьBeginner question: If I buy a Rodecaster Duo for mixing, it has already the preamp as far as I understand. In this case I would not need the cloud lifter and could go for the SM7b, right?
ОтветитьShould I be good with using the sm7db and go xlr mini..? I’m new to streaming cod and just about to go all out lol
ОтветитьI remember having that cloudlifter , the big one… heavy heavy heavy…
ОтветитьSold!
ОтветитьJust got one now but the audibility on the mic is so low compared to my old SE X1of SE electronics. I'm still trying to figure out what the challenge is.
ОтветитьMaybe the best video I found on that subject 🥰
Ответитьso basically its the same with a cloudlifter inside ?
ОтветитьSold ;)
Great recording quality btw. Clean and warm.
Great insight. Thanks
ОтветитьWould the noise be heard when streaming and would chat hear
ОтветитьFantastic review and perfect for where I'm at, thank you boss!
ОтветитьIt's SO much cleaner with the Avalon preamp idk how you mean it introduces more noise.
ОтветитьI buy new one which one is best you recommend Please
Ответитьwould you suggest this for rap vocals instead of a condenser mic
ОтветитьWhat do you think about shure sm7db + fethead setup?
ОтветитьXLR Connecter?
ОтветитьThank you for the video. I think I still like the SM7B sound…but I’m in an untreated room, so...I’m looking for something for metal vocals - I have a Roland Rubix 24 interface and am trying to decide between the SM7dB or the SM7B and Cloudlifter. All advice appreciated, folks! Thanks x
Ответитьi use my shure with a volt 1 interface, there alot of hissing and i use a rode xlr cable, i use it close to the mouth like in your video, i am shooketh
ОтветитьHey Sean, do these A8Hs require sub or they're good to go on their own? I am eying them for a while but I cannot test them where I live. Cheers
ОтветитьThank you. This helped A LOT:)
Ответитьif i buy this do i need another pre amp or is the built in one all good?
currently i have a focusright scarlett and if i buy this will i be able to use it without any additional equipment? thanks
Just got sm7b + cloudlifter. I figured I could keep the cloudlifter for other mics
ОтветитьJust got this mic today! I only have maonocaster soundcard. I havent test if its going to work.
Yes it does work and the mic sounds good I love it 🩵✨
okay but with this one do I need to buy anything else to properly use it like the regular SM7?
Ответитьwhat will happen when the internal cloud lifter in the sm7db gets broken, will the mic still work and only the cloudlifter inside doesnt work anymore or will the whole sm7db stop working when this is happen? best regards
ОтветитьGreat video! I am hesitating between Shure MV7+ AND SM7dB + interface shure MVX2U (to make it USB). Which one would you recommend? Thank you!
ОтветитьSo you still think if we dont have any tech to go with the sm7db?
ОтветитьHow did you not start with hi I’m Sean Divine I hope you’re doing fine?? Love the video I can’t wait to get my db.
ОтветитьI think the sm7b looks better
ОтветитьYou sold your UC1 ? Wasnt worth ?
ОтветитьCan this mic work without audio interface?? Im looking to purchase one. Thank you in advance 🙌🏼
Ответитьdoes this mic pair with interface 48v phantom power?
ОтветитьCan this go straight to a Mac’s usb ports? I am looking to replace a Yeti Blue which is great but acting quickly all the sudden.
ОтветитьDoes the sm7db pair well with the Scarlett 4i4 ??
ОтветитьI do have a question. Currently I'm using a Condenser Microphone with a 48V Phantom Power Supply, and I'm considering buying the Shure SM7dB. Do I also need to buy an audio interface to give it more gain even with the +18 / +28dB clean boost? And how much gain are you still giving it via your audio interface?
Great video though! :)
Thank you, very helpful! 🙌
ОтветитьJust got this mic and can definitely hear the noise floor BADLY! How do you fix that?
ОтветитьWhat interface do you recommend as a beginner especially for this mic ?!
Ответитьdo you use preamp with 7db? let me know plz
ОтветитьYeah that's my next purchase I'd rather spend $600 again than spend $10k helps with cost and leaves more room in my area without all that unnecessary equipment. Nice!
ОтветитьQuick question: I'm using a Shure SM7dB with a Canon Mark IV 5D, and I'm getting quite a lot of hissing, i.e., a 'ssshhhh' sound in the background. Cable is Tisino XLR to 3.5mm Mini Jack Microphone Cable.
Do you know what might be causing it?
Would you say this would be good mic for a un-treated basement? Or would the old sm7b be work just as good? I’m currently in the process of moving my studio to the basement but it’s not treated at all and it’s all concrete. I currently got a big rug to kinda help with acoustics and have some panels to put up but that’s about it for now. I want to get a vocal booth but they’re just super expensive. Just figured to see your thoughts. Trying to speed up my workflow.
ОтветитьI need to get this lol
ОтветитьVery strange. The SM7db is a few years too late.
Interfaces got better and better with more clean gain for cheap.
Why did they release a SM7db so late?
Hi! is there a difference in the sound of the original shure SM7B produced in China and the Mexican one released in the same year? maybe have you compared them?
ОтветитьGreat vid, thank you
Ответитьthis thing sounds clean as hell my god.
ОтветитьThanx for the review. What’s the name of your desktop spectrum analyzer to your left, on the shelf?
