BANDIT NPCs & CHOPPING TREES! - Unturned II Devlog 36

Finaly there is going to be more to single player with the drones and bandits addet

I wish they do an npc Colony manager to manage our own base with npcs, and companion survivors.

I hope the Bandit ai wont be as annoying as the real players. By that I mean that I hope that they don’t actively raid bases, camp areas and be more like neutral npcs that will threaten you and leave you alone in exchange for your items.

bandit npcs were discussed in the first unturned as not being added but, in elver there are those aggressive cultists guys with knifes.



so if we combine the npc dialogue with the aggressive cultist AI, and give em a few clothes, we get a bandit.

but, as the cultist only has a melee to work, then the bandit will also, of course, have a knife. something.....better than a simple knife, like a axe probably.

OPTIONS

Yeah, ok. Fine. Here's my stuff. (takes a big part of your inventory and makes the bandit just wander off)
How about nah. (triggers the aggressive AI)

Constable or above:
Oh, darn! It's <playername>! Get em!

NO OPTIONS, PRESS F TO END DIALOG AND TRIGGER AGGRESSIVE AI.

-Rep Dialog:

Bandit:

Heyy, give me your- Oh, sorry, <playername>, didn't see you there. So....I was wandering off, doing my bandit work, y'know. And i found this beautiful <carname>. Would you like to rob it with me?

OPTIONS:

Yeah, I will. (gains 15+ EXP)
Nah, don't feel like it. (closes dialog)
Actually, I'm gonna stop you right there. (Triggers aggressive AI and increases )

Villain:

....Oh hello, <playername>, uhhh, yeah......So....how are you?
Options:
I'm fine.

Alright, would you like to.....err, find some other guys and rob em? Whaddya say?

Options:

Mhm.. (increases EXP)
Maybe later. (closes dialog)





If you have a bad rep, like Bandit or Gangster, then when you go to the liberator (russia), jourdan's fort (france) or the Hellenic Forces HQ basement (greece), basically ANY safezone, the armed npcs there will just start a dialog:


Hey, YOU! Stop right there! Leave this zone this instant or come with me to jail.

OK, FINE. (sends you to the safezone jail and locks you in it for 1 minute.)
HOW ABOUT NO? (makes the npc aggressive)
I'll leave, alright? (gives you a 20 sec timer to leave the safezone.)


If you're a really bad rep, like Villain, then you wont be given a single warning. The npcs will AUTOMATICALLY begin attacking you. You can still shoot em back, I guess.




this all would mean hardcore coding, i get it. but it'll still be cool.

Its good to see this game is coming together so well. If I was with Nelson right now I would give him lots of encouragement and tell him to not give up. This game actually looks so decent.

Hey, if you're still active. Could you tell me how well this game runs compared to Unturned 3.0 ? My biggest worry is about optimization for low-end PCs and Unturned 3.0 has a horrible performance even on top-tier PCs. 40 fps on a 1080 Ti is just ridiculous.

I hope it fixes all the fps issues unturned has

There’s like zero reason to make a sequel to a free to play game. Other than maybe a new engine. But it’d be easier to swap the old games engine with a new one rather than to make an entire new game from the ground up

I haven't played Unturned for months and holy shit. Unturned II is gonna be WAY more fun when it's fully released!
I am seriously wanting to donate to Nelson and his team for their amazing work effort on this long upcoming project.

If it doesnt have raiding, and its just like Day-Z. Im 100% NOT going to play it. Also if it doesnt have servers or free multi player people should stick with Unturned 1.

Fun fact: The guy made Unturned Has played roblox way before and made an game Called Deadzone Its gone now tho but people made Re Scripted of the game so yeah some people plays Deadzone on roblox Roblox's Owner Deleted the original Deadzone wich was a Huge impact on roblox If im right it was on the front page and it was very fun(Its Still fun) So after roblox deleted the deadzone on roblox The guy who made unturned left the Roblox and after a few years later (btw deadzone was a game made in like 2011 and lower i think so far) He made unturned If Deadzone wasn't deleted Unturned might could not be a thing so i Feel like im pretty lucky the original game got deleted cuz i really liked unturned before and i will also still like it and it will be one of my favorite game's i feel like what it could be if Deadzone Wasn't deleted from roblox Welp Its all from me im done speaking lol

I think RE-Turned is a good title. Didn't play the first one much but supported the project from tge minute I heard about it and saw the gameplay.

This will gonna be the game we all have been waiting for, damn i'm excited

I hope the beret requirements are lowered
And also the guy who made the Untarkov map is gonna get a boner when this is released

Looks good so far. Happy they added proper saves in development. unlike in the first one where I got overrun with so many zombies that i couldnt get back to my corpse and lost 5 hours of loot gathering

for gods sake nelson make the game playable without having to waste 2000 hours of your life to play unturned 4
