I like the lighting through the flag curtain in chloe's room in the original way better. Dissapointed it got a downgrade. I kinda think that they went for more realistic lighting, but that tends to falter in areas that are realistically, dimly lit. I think some indoors areas need more ambient light.

I like the remastered version, especially the lip animations being much improved, but... I still get a lot of graphical glitching going on, which makes me sad (playing on PS5)

Remaster is better. But just minor changes. In generally it is not feel in gameplay. I want new Remaster in new engine with better graphics (like to Alan Wake 2).

They added much color, detail and movement

This game is special to me I remember watching it for the first time in 2015. Somehow Max related to me as she was also a student in college. Missing the simpler times when I only go to university and have fun.

The characters look like toys in the original vs the remaster. Alternate Chloe was spot on with that comment. Lol

I like the fact that in the remastered one the hair has physics and the game is more detail

This is something they reallydid well on the Remastered. I wish it didnt have so many bugs and was a bit more consistency on quality

Original looks better, you can tell the Dontnod devs had more time and/or talent to blend everything together into creating a more cohesive and unique artstyle. The changes made to the lighting engine for the remaster just make things look more realistic eg. plainer.

There is another patch seemingly in the works on steamdb but I doubt it will change anything, probably just localisation updates.

if deck nine just worked on the environment ONLY then i will actually like and appreciate this remaster. instead it's like a star wars special edition madness of a downgrade from a renaissance masterpiece

Personaly i think that enviroment is lot better in remastered but character textures are better in original (they look more pleasant and more natural)

The most beautiful game in the world. There is no such thing that touched you so much to the depths of your soul, as does Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm. There are so many details in these games, and all this is combined with an amazing environment, atmosphere, lighting, characters and plot... It's just beyond words. Thank you for continuing to delight with content on this masterpiece game :)

P.S Mogwai music from the ending of the third episode immerses me in amazing memories to this day... although, let's be honest, this happens when listening to every track from Life is Strange, especially when listening to Obstacles :)

Assets/models wise remastered is superior but the composition is better in the original (for example the original had this sort of fog or haze in backgrounds that is missing in remastered)

remaster is the one i prefer
