Great video, thank you! Is there any difference between the Evenk/Siberian and the Quick Release Canadian Jam? Yes, the working line feeds through a slightly different position of the 8, but otherwise the two knots look nearly identical and do the same thing. :)
ОтветитьOhhh yeeeah... That's that schit....
So much better than the other guy
Would be really useful if you added whether a knot is suitable to hold your weight reliably (as in suitable for climbing). Not sure if I would trust every of these knots to secure myself.
ОтветитьReally great tutorial, thank you!!!! 😎🙏🫶🇩🇪
ОтветитьThat is not how you tie a bowline knot.
Ответитьi use rope instead clamps in car
Ответитьfirst knot is dp
ОтветитьJust came across this. GREAT Video 😊
ОтветитьThanks DJ...., I've been using the Truckers Hitch for a lot of my camping rope and cordage knots for a long time. I knew I needed to up my game. Great video!
Ответитьtotal genius video. I shall be studying this over and over (I'm older so a slower learner!)
Ответитьgoated video on knots.
ОтветитьWhy is this video making me want to cry? It's like...so sentimental.
ОтветитьWhat about clove hitch? They’re one of the best knots to tie
ОтветитьWow.. I won't forget this 6, 9 knot.
Thank you.
Absolutely the best tutorial ever! Smart selection of the best knots. Clear and to the point, no blablablabla. Top!
ОтветитьThanks man. This is really a big help for me as a noob Ordinary Seaman working on the ship.
Ответить유용한 매듭이 많군요 잘 보고갑니다 😀👍
ОтветитьBEST!
ОтветитьVery useful and practically applicable
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your valuable experiences

ОтветитьWhen you're tying down the canoe with the truckers hitch, what method are you using on the other side of the canoe (not shown) to secure the rope to your transport device?
ОтветитьThanks
Ответитьtypa vid i watch at 3am for no reason.
ОтветитьHow many knots do you use by frequency ?
ОтветитьExcellent variation on the truckers hitch!
ОтветитьThanks for the video! Amazing stuff! I really like how you show the knots and what they are used for!
Liked, subscribed, and shared! (this is the first video I ever shared in over 10 years because the info is that good!)
Looking forward to more videos like this!
If you are watching this without a rope in your hand, you are just kidding yourself that you will retain it unless you are already experienced...
ОтветитьExcellent video and presentation.
ОтветитьThis is more useful than anything i learned in school
Ответитьforget-me-knot(s)
ОтветитьGreat stuff!
ОтветитьTying the midline slip knot on the truckers hitch is easily done one-handed with practice.
ОтветитьThis makes knot crating look like fine art. It feels so useful, yet I'm not outdoor'y enough for me to master them
ОтветитьZeppelin is the easiest to remember because it requires you to form a 6 and a 9, and then to combine them - 69.
Now rewatch the "instructions" and realize that everything he says is dirty.
In your double sheet bend you wrap over the top and then underneath. Other sources have said to go underneath both times. Do you see a difference in performance?

Taut line hitch is a genuinely useful life skill. This is a great video
ОтветитьSaw your reels. Greta channel.
ОтветитьTotally impressed by the way he presents this as to even I can learn how to tie knots. Thank you for the very informative video. Just subscribed.
ОтветитьSuper helpful. This is the best tutorial out here in my opinion.
ОтветитьWhat I find fascinating about this is that I know several dozen knots, and I can't learn any by learning to tie them. I have to learn them according to the route taken by the rope once the knot is tied. As a result, of the knots I know, I can only tie a double clove hitch without thinking. Even bloody bowlines and reef knots I have to think about where the knot will end up. I've tried repeatedly tying the same knot dozens of times in a row with my eyes shut. The technique sticks for a few hours at best.
Ответить😂 I love how the grommet gets ripped with an intentional swift tug. Like sometimes we need to wreck stuff to do a fix stuff video.
ОтветитьAs a self-professed knot nerd who's read the entirety of the Ashley book of knots, I want to commend you for this excellent video, even though it's been out for a while. Wonderful way of clearly presenting information, and you even taught me the Evenk hitch, which seems like a very nifty knot to have. Bravo!
ОтветитьWell the bedroom got a whole lot more interesting 😁
ОтветитьWhat you show is the Rolling Hitch version of the taut-line hitch. The Magnus Hitch is inferior (less friction). The Midshipman's Hitch variation is superior to both.
