Planet hoth amying at the AT-ST is hard
ОтветитьThis game needs an HD remaster so bad.
ОтветитьI hated the bespin raid. Took me very long till I knew to blow up the balloons instead of every single turret
ОтветитьI loved this game’s menu stylization
ОтветитьBest Star Wars Game Ever Made
ОтветитьI feel like this game is overlooked, but it was a huge improvement over its predecessor on the N64. Also the Gamecube doesnt get enough credit for being the amazing console that it is. I just wish i could go back and play this amazing game one more time.
ОтветитьThe G.O.A.T. Star Wars game, imo. This, Bounty Hunter, Jedi Academy, OG Battlefront 2, & Kotor 1 are the top 5.
ОтветитьHehehe who is Luke Skwalker in the voice credits?? Hahahaha Gotta love typos in the end credits sometimes
Ответить22 years later and this game still looks gorgeous.
Ответитьinsane graphics for a launch title.. Factor 5 were definitely tech wizards.
Ответитьfeel the power of my proton torpedo lol
ОтветитьThey sure don't make em like they used to. "Squadrons" is God awful compared to these older games. I guess that's what happens when you shutter successful studios "because"
ОтветитьOoooh wow, this game looks wicked awesome and wicked fun, I love it. Just like in the Star Wars Skywalker saga movies, niiiice, I love that a lot.
ОтветитьReally awesome game, I played the hell outta this in my early teens.
Great playthrough as well - I was never able to get gold on a few of these missions.
One thing though - you missed the upgrade in the Battle of Endor! After that first star destroyer goes down (the one on the left), you can collect an upgrade by flying up into its docking bay after the ship has come to rest.
Also, the mission where you steal the shuttle has two versions - a night version in the speeder, and a day version in a Y-wing. Which one you get depends on the time of day set in the Gamecube's home menu.
During the night version, you can steal a TIE fighter by taking one of the offshoot valleys at the beginning. You'll come across a barracks and a lone TIE fighter nestled in the valley. Once you fly into this valley, a single pilot comes out of the barracks and runs towards his fighter. If you can shoot the pilot before he reaches the fighter, you can steal it and get perfect stealth throughout the mission until you shoot something or steal the shuttle. If you go on to complete the mission, the TIE fighter is unlocked for future missions. Obviously not a great option if you're trying for a gold medal, but a really cool feature nonetheless.
Great video, thanks for the nostalgia hit!
👍😀 Awesome game play! 🙂 The picture quality is beautiful. 🤔 If you don't mind me asking but what technology do you use to get that level of quality out from your GameCube?
ОтветитьRazor Rendezvous blew my mind. Always had so much trouble there. Like Legolas taking out a Mumak. hah
ОтветитьLoved this on the cube. Loved how they merged the vid clips into the game when you take over. All crammed on that little cd rom! I still think the console was underrated.
Ответить"Orders, Rogue Leader?"
"Retreat so I get more Enemies Destroyed and less Friendlies Lost! I can't get the Gold Medal with you stealing kills and you dying all the time!"
I remember playing this at Target when I was a kid. Such nostalgia.
ОтветитьEU Death Star Assult: Orchestrated planned attack with multi stages using the plans gotten from Kyle Katarn
Disney Death Star Assult: Retconned in a weak spot that apparently made it past to final construction
this game looks objectively better on a CRTV. all these older games looked way better back in the day. They do not translate very well to these modern screens at high resolutions.
ОтветитьThe reason I got the GameCube on launch day
ОтветитьI remember all about this game. I got all gold medals (minus one my brother had to win it for me) after A LOT of playing. I used the tarjeting computer a lot until I knew where all the enemies came from and used proton torpedoes a lot too. I also got the car who had the super missiles, like the Darth Vader's tie. Lots of fond memorie, like when the first time I used an A wing in the nebula and saw its speed. Out of the world game!
ОтветитьThis video just unearthed a childhood memory of this game I didn't even know I had.
ОтветитьI still can't believe that they finished the trilogy port for Wii and didn't release it.....or bump the resolution and release it on Switch. I wonder what the hell is wrong with publishers sometimes.
Ответить🤘
Ответить
The Rogue Squadron books where/are my favorite star wars legends books.
With Wedge Antilles and Corran Horn. And Rogue and Wraith Squadron
Damn I miss the old star wars.
Hmm… is this a capture from original hardware?
If so, that’s a hell of a capture. If not, Dolphin is a hell of an emulator.
This game was one of the reasons I absolutely loved SW: Rogue One so much. especially the final space battle felt so much like this game. I found Rogue Squadron 2 absolutely immersive, visually and soundwise stunning and also got every gold medal and upgrade back then.
ОтветитьLook at those fucking graphics. Unbelievable.
ОтветитьI loved this game
ОтветитьI remember my brother gloating about his new Xbox and how great the graphics were. I bought a Gamecube along with this game and he took the huff for days after I showed him 😂
ОтветитьIt's amazing this is coming from a mini disc. I think the sound is the one thing missing. Is it midi music?
ОтветитьRudy’s Car with Advanced Homing Cluster Missiles = Gold Medal 100%
ОтветитьPlatinum medals only!
ОтветитьThis game still holds up today. They could just do a straight port and release it on the Switch. I would pay full price
ОтветитьBack in the days I was only able to play Rogue Squadron on N64 with its two different versions. What a time it was to be alive. Factor 5 and Lucas Arts were dream developers. When it came out for GameCube I was in deep hatred for Nintendo, mostly after Perfect Dark dilemma (Nintendo self-destructed internal batteries of some cartridges) so I kept procrastinating Rogue Leader to some other day, but never really played it.
ОтветитьI remember these graphics blew my mind when I was a kid.
Ответитьwhens the goddamn remaster
ОтветитьThis is the whole reason I wanted a GameCube when I was a kid. Fun fact for all of you. There is still a community on squadrons. It’s only dogfight but man is it fun. The wait time is hefty, but when you get a match it’s so fun. Play against AI before you so to brush up . The people that still play it are no friggin joke.
ОтветитьMy God the GameCube was so clean
Ответитьpressing the A button rapidly will destroy enemies faster
ОтветитьThis and Zelda twilight Princess were gold for the Gamecube: The Fish Buckets
ОтветитьThis game has such a charm to it, really hard to put it into words why
Ответитьthat game was way ahead its time on a fantastic console.
