Just found this nugget today. Honestly I didn't know they had ever played guitar together. For all the (deserved) love and hype surrounding EVH... I can't help but wonder how much better... fuller?... Van Hagar would have been if Sammy were allowed to play on and record on those albums. We'll never know though.

For 40 years EVH has been smoking two pack per concert on stage…. Man that NICOTINE is just as addictive as any drug is. Both my parents died of Lung Cancer, them damn legal cigarettes! At least they have some pretty grotesque pictures on the packs in some countries today but I doubt its having any impact, One of my BESHIES today is hooked on cig! She downplays it like she loves smoking and never wants to quit, going on 30 years as a cig smoker, my GF ALSO A HEAVY SMOKER, also 30plus years …. They cannot quit, my GF has tried several times,,, At least she is down to 6 -10 cigs daily vice two packs!✌🏻🍻💋

I understand that some people can’t get over that fact that Van Halen had 2 singers, they’re either Roth fans or not fans at all. But you can’t deny the magic and love Sammy and Eddie had for each other during their time together. They made songs that will live on forever!
