Spring 2019 MUGEN Tournament Introduction: Team Reveal + Round 0 Matchups

Welcome one and all to the Spring 2019 MUGEN Tournament, hosted by yours truly! This video will serve as our opening ceremonies. The first match will come tomorrow, and it will be the first match of Round 0. Other updates will be discussed here as well.

Some time near the start of 2019, I posted a roster video of a list of characters participants could use in the tournament. The roster has garnered a ton of characters as pending how things go, this will be our last tournament for a while. That doesn't mean this will be the end of our MUGEN tournaments. We just need to get used to a new recording setup.

Anyways, here's a list of the characters each of the 21 participants had to choose from in order to join the tournament:

Many new and old challengers have come to our tournament this time, including our reigning champion Diamondswag12 and runner-up Strawberry Bleach from the Fall 2018 MUGEN Tournament, as well as Tim Wailordlover and Gonzalo Diaz Moles, two challengers who have participated in all of our tournaments since the End of 2017 Tournament!

We will have videos coming one per day, and each video will have one match. On Easter Sunday, we will take a holiday break from the tournament.

Like with the last tournament, we have an uneven number of participants. And around the same amount of them at 21. So like the last tournament, the last 10 teams to register will participate in matches in order to balance out the brackets to 16 teams. This will last from Monday to Friday of this week and it will be known as Round 0, or the Preliminary Round.

These matches will be best of three matches and at 200% life.

As for our hosts, each round will have a different host or so. These hosts, or rather Masters of Ceremonies (MCs), will also do the loser brackets of their respective rounds or so, so keep that in mind. I myself will be the host of the final rounds AKA the final 4 videos of the tournament. But sometimes, hosts might take turns being the MC for a round or so.
