I have this lock I came back out to find all numbers to 0000 is there a exploit I am unaware of ? Thank you
ОтветитьAmazon reviews aren't that great. Lot's of people say they break over time, stop to close or just opens. Anyone here experiences like that?
ОтветитьThe gosh damn shackle is so large it won't fit half the hasps or fuel caps on the market. Finally a combination lock that works and they make it so it's too big. Nice going.
ОтветитьWhat about a 50 cal, would that open it
ОтветитьI've owned and used 3 of these locks and I can assure you that this lock is extremely poor quality. It fell from a height of 6feet, and landed on the shackle guard. The impact broke a chip of the cheap pot metal off, but even worse, it stripped the 2 "security screws" from the top of the lock . This immediately caused the shackle guard to be able to be lifted up (even when locked), and exposed 2 allen bolts that which unscrewed, defeated the lock. Another time on a seperate abus 190/60cs the 2 security screws just gradually worked themselves loose and unscrewed themselves. resulting in the same failure. This lock has a very thin plate that these two security screws secure to (probably 2mm thick). On both of my locks, the shackle guard screws failed to hold their threading and either stripped of backed out. I would wager that if you purchased a brand new abus 190/60cs lock, and struck the shackle guard with a hammer, or applied vertical pressure using channel locks, that the two shackle guard screws will strip out and the lock is defeated. very disappointed with this lock.
ОтветитьI bought this one and the Abus square chain for my bike. The only downside is it’s heavy.
ОтветитьWas gonna buy this until I read the reviews from ppl who had it shatter, one with one hit from a sledge.
ОтветитьI’d cover the screws with black epoxy.
ОтветитьWould this be great for a shipping container??
ОтветитьSo many of these locks don’t fit gym lockers which sucks
ОтветитьYa rock. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
ОтветитьThis video really helped me, thanks @BosnianBill
ОтветитьThank you Bill for all the videos and education and entertainment! I helped me get hooked on lockpicking as a hobby. Enjoy these days!
ОтветитьVery nice feature, seeing how my neighbors do something right and proper. Me is from the country that makes those pensky evva locks, Austria, we have nothing to do with Germany. Not even the language, because tell a German 'Reds ma in a Sackerl und stö ma's fua de tia', Translation: 'Talk your rubbish into a paperbag and put it in front of my door' and a German would look like an bendy-bus without wheels. Another very nice viennese saying 'Du schaust wia a Autobus ohne Radln' if you look confused. Oh and for my german neighbors here the translation into high german 'Spriche es mir in eine Tüte und stell diese vor meine Tür.'
ОтветитьCould you please review the Kasp combination lock that looks exactly like this one as well as some of the Squire combination locks PLEASE?
ОтветитьDid you ever try the factory combo its 4 turns to clear lock then counter clockwise then land on 25 then turn clockwise to 0 ? Also if you lay it on top of a dual head stethoscope speaker up and go slow you can find the combo in a few minute's by hearing the gates i have a few of this both personally ones and at work
ОтветитьAlso could you PLEASE review the Squire CBW 85 Monoblock High Security 5 Wheel Combination Padlock? I'm really curious if that lock can be bypassed by someone who doesn't know the combination and if it's durable enough like it appears to be to withstand other forms of attacks also to warrant the $85 price tag Bosnianbill? THANKS and I really appreciate all your videos for sure!
ОтветитьIs the Kasp 119 High Security Combination Padlock 60mm Closed Shackle the exact same lock as this or not? I heard this lock has a shackle guard that can be smashed easily so does the other lock have the same exact shackle guard that crumbles easily or not and if possible could you review that lock as well and compare it with this lock? They look exactly the same except that lock is gray and this one is black and that one is sold under Kasp where this one is sold under Abus obviously.
ОтветитьThe Germans don't take shortcuts.
Except around Belgium 😂
What is the best way to maintain this lock. Do you lube, soak it in oil? What is the best? Thank you
ОтветитьI was just going to buy this from German Amazon but when 25% of the reviews were ONE star, I changed my mind. They say that usually the lock jams in few days and is impossible to open. One person bought five locks and four of them broke in few weeks. Somebody dropped the lock on the floor in cold weather and the body broke. Wonder if the toleranses are so tiny that it needs utterly exact code to unlock. If they just forgot to push the shackle down before pulling.
ОтветитьAfter watching this video you’ve convinced me to purchase one for my shed. Thanks
ОтветитьWhy the continued reference to "the Germans"? Is the nationality of the company's employees important?
ОтветитьI have a 8077AB and I asked LPL via email if he wanted a go at it. Never heard back. I had suggested doing a video about good locks that couldn't be opened in a two minute video, but never heard anything. I appreciate your showing some pretty secure locks. Thank you.
ОтветитьLockPickingLawer has entered the chat....
ОтветитьRubbish lock. I had one
Ответитьthis lock has bad reviews on amazon , of course most people dont know what a good lock is . i wonder how it compares to the high end squire combination locks
Ответитьhow does this compare the the high end squire combo locks
ОтветитьSeems like junk to me.
Not sure I'll get a reply at this state, but we bought one of these for work a couple months ago from Amazon. I set the combination per the instructions, took the key out, scrambled the wheels, closed it, and now it is a permanent paper weight. It will not open on any combination I have tried (starting with the combination I set, the original 0-0-0-0 combo, and all combinations one wheel rotated from the combination I set, aaaand a whole boatload of others just playing around). It will not open. We contacted Amazon, they wouldn't refund us, but they sent a second lock. I played with this one for a bit on 0-0-0-0 and confirmed that it opens just fine when the combination is set correctly. I then opened it, put the key in, set a new combination, removed the key, scrambled it, closed it, and have another paper-weight that will not open. Considering it can't be decoded or opened by disassembly (without damage), there's no way to open this thing and have it work again. After the first one I contacted Abus and they sent me a pdf with the instructions (exactly as above). I did the "i'm a big dumb idiot" process of looking at the directions, do the thing, look at the directions, do the thing, all the way down just to reeeally make sure I wasn't doing a "oh I know what I'm doing" and messing something up. No dice. It is so secure that it never opens again.
I had a gov job where this old SG combo lock on the cage. Even the old guys could hardly get it open.
ОтветитьHave you tried a 8.9 gigawatts electromagnet, to withdraw the sprung locking pawl?🤣🤣🤣🙄😭😭♥️♥️♥️
ОтветитьNicelydone my friend. Did you shave for the abus? You sound kinda off. Shave maybe
ОтветитьProbably the ABUS engineers follow this channel, and possibly some others as well.
ОтветитьCould this be used for a storage lock, ? Sir what's the best lock for storage?😁🤝
ОтветитьI take it there isn't a smaller gym locker version
ОтветитьCan you test the Squire SS50 or SS50C stronghold combination padlock? This one has a 5 number combination. Looks like a good lock but not sure if it has any vulnerabilities.
ОтветитьHi, Are you familiar with the Kasp 11960x ? It looks like the same body as the Abus 190CS. Can you review the Kasp to see if it is just as secure as the Abus. Thanks
ОтветитьGerman engineering!
ОтветитьWait, why does the "change key" look so much like a handcuff key..?
ОтветитьYou know your locks but your mouth has overstepped it's range of knowledge in at least two ways: a)8088 was not the first commercial CPU but it was the most popular early commercial CPU from Intel. 2)The machining done on the shackle and lock body is called a chamfer and the angles are not 90° but rather two opposite 45° angles. No, that does not add up to 90°; they are opposite and add up to 0°.
Ответитьi have one of these! got it about 2 years before this video was uploaded.
i would absolutely lock my guns behind it.
