Submerge in a bucket of salt water outside away from everything.
Leave for 72hrs.
Check with multimeter.

That is precisely why passenger planes are now equipped with "fire bags," to contain such compromised batteries!

I know this was done on purpose to dispose of it but that’s very intimidating that’s a small battery too
