Hey im an interior designer, what do you think dell xps 15 or m1 macbook air or pro which would be suitable

dell xps 9570 is total Cr*ap. I am so frustrated with mine. Every two months it comes up with another issue. Right now, it keeps telling my my battery isn't charging despite me ordering a brand new charger from dell. Never ever buying dell again

Premiere is not yet optimized for M1 Mac. So possibly it still use an emulated x86 through Rosetta 2. Try use Da Vinci Resolve for more fair comparison.

I guess the Dell has a discrete graphics card (GTX1050 Ti). I think that it why it is speedier in your first video test. The Mac only has the internal graphics.

Mac M1 runs on a lower wattage cpu no there's no power chugging and therefore no need to ramp up the fan. Adobe is not optimized for M1 processor right now so it's running a translation process for x86. You need to redo the test after the update to Adobe software.

I've been using the Dell XPS 9570 2018 model for a little over a year now. It's got serious hearing issues and thermal throttles even for small tasks. And yes the Dell does sound like a jet engine :(

I've always had 15" macbook pros but couldn't justify shelling out a full $2500 (US) for the 16" so I've been comparing these two you discussed in the video. I've been nervous about losing the screen space going down to the 13" but this comparison is super helpful!
