ALL CANON REBEL DSLRs: How to Clear All Settings Back to Factory Defaults

Excellent. Thank you. I have a Canon EOS 850D bought used. I wanted to clear everything and start fresh so went through all the menus numerous times and didn't see "Clear settings." So I did an internet search on how to clear settings and restore to factory. Now, I did not know to put my setting on Manual to get all the menu options and of course no website mentioned that. You are the first. I just couldn't figure it out and I finally chanced upon this video and lo, you explained, and showed, how to do it. I thank you.

Bro i use OTG in my camera to import the pics in my cellphone i reset my cam and now its gone I can't not import the pics in my cellphone can u please help mo to restore😢

Unfortunately, this does not clear camera shutter counter.

I decided to see what all of the settings on my camera did. I was worried that I messed up my camera, the screen was black when trying to take pictures but would show everything else. Turns out I just forgot that I had the lens cap on. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Still a very helpful video to reset all the other things I accidentally did.

watched one video and he didn't give a piece of vital information "turn the camera to manual". I was trying to figure why I didn't have the 3rd wrench. so thanks for that ,am hoping I can get the view screen to show the image as you look through the lens ( if you understand my meaning ). So thanks again

What if the camera freezes and you cant access the settings

I only have 2 options on the 4th wrench. Sensor cleaning and battery info. How do I reset this?

My rebel t7 doesn’t show the reset option

My 50d doesn't give me this option?

Mine says “Busy… please wait” all the time
