Which is better TV to get? LG C4 or Sony A80L? I was quoted both at the same price and now on the fence to decide which.

Do you have any video for best setting for the LG C4? I recently bought one and since I used your C1 setting video as reference, and love it, for setting my TV, here I am.

Currently the G4 is at the same price as the C4 as a Black Friday offer...
I own a CX that is amazing and have no issue with it.
Should i go for the G4?

I just bought the 65" C4 for the living room, in 60 interest free installments for a total of 1380 euros. Life is good indeed. Moving the 55 C3 to the gaming mancave, will hook it up to the XSX. Looking forward to checking out the improved brightness of the C4 over the C3 with movies.

I’ll share with you my experience with this year’s LG C4 and G4 models. I decided to replace the C7 in my living room, which had suffered burn-in, with something new. After reading tons of reviews, I bought the G4 77 during Black Friday, and for a few days, it was amazing. I was thrilled with the picture quality, colors, and everything else.

But after a few days, I started experiencing severe eye pain, tingling, burning, dryness, and white spots. I was convinced it was due to the MLA coating because I’d never had any issues with other OLEDs. I have a CX55 in the bedroom and a CX48 on my desk. I returned the G4 and bought the C4 instead. Again, for the first few days, everything was fine, but then the same problems started, though maybe slightly less intense—still burning, itching, and a feeling of pressure in my eyes. When I turn on the C4, it feels like there’s some kind of flicker on it.

I started reading forums and found that some people have experienced similar issues. Some users mentioned that LG introduced an algorithm that degrades colors in low-brightness scenes and causes flickering. Apparently, this was supposed to improve posterization in dark scenes, but instead, it’s causing eye strain for users. I’m devastated because LG has ruined one of the best TV panels for me.

I have been watching a ton of videos and I am torn between this and the G4. I have a CX 65" and I'm looking to go to the C4 or G4 in the 77" version. I am concerned about the $1300 price bump going to the G4 and if it is worth that extra cost over the C4. I can get the C4 with QC and calibration for $800 less than an out of the box G4. Got a few weeks to think about it but it is back and forth for me right now

I have a question good sir! I've had a LG 48CX for almost 4 year's and looking to upgrade to a LG C3 or C4. My CX is still working fine with my PS5 Pro and Series X. Should I get the C3 or C4. The C3 or alot cheaper right now. I'm thinking about a 65in or 55in this time around instead of my 48in. Will I see a difference or should I wait a few more year's? Thank you in advance! It's Greatly appreciated!

Do you still recommend getting a professional TV Calibration? I'll be getting my LG C4 83" OLED soon. Will be doing the tweaking myself for best color accuracy using the remote but just wondering how much difference it would be after getting a Professional Calibration....is it even worth it? Thanks!

I have found an interesting workaround for solving the infamous HDMI handshake issue which keeps resetting/disabling some options upon TV restart or input change. This is crucial for someone who, for example, uses the TV both for gaming and movies, and wants to enable smooth gradation:low, for example which is recommended or cinematic movement/de-judder: 2 which helps a lot with OLED stutter for 24p content:

1. First, Disable 4:4:4 passthrough and change the input label from "PC" to anything else.

2. After that, adjust the sharpness, noise reduction, Real CInema, Smooth Gradation and TruMotion to your liking, and then press "apply to all inputs".
You will notice that all these image processing options will be grayed out after TV restart or input change, for example if you have your TV hooked to a PC with another monitor, changing inputs will almost always disable all the processing options.

3. The only thing that solves the problem 100% of the time is actually re-connecting the HDMI cable, so we need to somehow trick the TV that we did exactly that, without actually doing it. All you have to do is just swap the input label to something else (other than PC, since it also disables all the processing). So every time you turn on the TV, just swap from "Home Theater" input label to lets say "Set Top Box" or "Game Console" and all the processing options will work again. I tested this myself and it works 100% of the time. But remember, you have to "apply the settings to all inputs" in order to make all these input labels the same. Oh, and yeah, G-sync has to be disabled in the Control Panel each time you plan to enable processing. Just don't disable VRR in the TV itself if you have another G-sync monitor hooked to the same PC, since it will render the monitor unusable and require you to disable VRR on it, as well.

*This is a well-known issue and dates back at least 5-6 years and LG never addressed it. Because of this, people also have problems with AV receivers and soundbars. Some reported that disabling G-sync solves the problem, but it is only temporary and is random. For example, if you disable G-sync and change inputs or restart the TV afterwards, it will again stop working, but now you can't fix it anymore because G-sync is already disabled...

Also, there is a much simpler and faster way of changing these settings with ColorControl app. I created the shortcut Alt+1 for "Home Theater" label and Alt+2 for "PC" label, and every time I turn on the TV i lust press the shortcut and that's it.
