S23 seems to have warmer white balance than the S24. The panels really are a lottery. Mine S23 base has terrible yellowish tint to it. I was hoping it was a software bug, but I can not seem to fix it. Probably the actual physical display panel :(

You mentioned the S23 looking a little more choppy... That happens overtime with use of the phone... But in terms of performance... Its only like a 1.35% improvement.

S24 ultra look cheaper in comparison to s23 ultra in looks, samsung should consider again and provide a curved screen. Also make an upgrade in an app close animation like the OnePlus.

Why does the s23 looks better when showing white colors?

That's exactly why I skipped to 24. The s22 ultra to the s23 ultra was definitely more of an upgrade.

The colors on the S24 series is in my opinion terrible...

The curved display just looks so much more premium & beautiful.

The only advantage of the s24 ultra is the 7years software support. Besides that nothing else. That little speed over the s23 ultra is just software optimization because both phones are capable of heavy task

Samsung is famous for oversaturation, they have been since they started competing with the iPhone. Now they finally make a natural looking screen and people act like it's a bad thing.

Im glad the s24 ultra went back to the flat screen, i hate the curve screen.

S24 ultra will have all security updates until the year 2031. With a beast of a processor this phone will go the distance and Dex makes it a phone you can keep using for desktop use even if you change to a new phone by 2031m

Also, the colors on the display look the same as the S23 Ultra if you change from the Vivid mode to Natural. Side by side comparison should be done in Natural since this is a software tweak and not a hardware change or a perceived downgrade.

And it should be noted that the S23 and S24 Ultra phones have insane battery life because Samsung have done a great deal of work with the vapor chamber. The S23 Ultra already had a very large "heat escape" and the S24 has a 1.5x bigger vapor chamber.

This just reassures me that Google did the G3 right. Yeah I would prefer higher scores... but I mainly play Star Trek Fleet Command, Marvel Strike Force, Galaxy of Heroes, COD Mobile... all those games have similar performance on P8P as my S24U. The only game I have played that I see perform better is C&C Rivals (due to app support, not hardware related) and Little Nightmares which runs at higher settings 60fps on S24U.

Day to day, my P8P feels smoother due to OS optimizations, I prefer the camera and form factor as well. Probably going to send back the S24U

jesus.. the light refraction on the s23ultra is so annoying.. that whole 1st minute reminds me why the s23ultra display curved edge display is trash.. curved edge displays are so dogshet... and not practical.. esp when it comes with an spen... wtf was samsung thinking.

8gen2 for galaxy I'd faster than 8gen3 for other androids
