I salute Luo Yunxi for carrying all those extra weights despite being thin and still looks atunning and strong in every Cdramas he made and he actually have to carry his fl in some scenes. Its very sad and disappointing how these Chinese fans didnt appreciate their hardwork. I wish their movies/dramas will be out internationally bcoz international fans are much appreciative and understanding!

I always think to myself, these actors, while good looking but so thin. I myself prefer someone with healthy weight and a bit muscular (if men), or healthy weight with some curves (if female). Not obese, but not look like anorexic too.

Why do they do this? I am not a fan of the flying fiction film. Korean Drama is more famous, right? Why do Chinese filmmakers abuse their good actors and actresses why can't they make more real-life dramas like Koreans which everyone can relate to or connect to.

High time these directors & producers make looking after their cast, their health, welfare and safety as their top priority. These actors and actresses should be highly commended for the sacrifices they endure for their craft and they certainly do not deserve any criticism, humiliation and ridicule from directors and netizens!! It rubs in quickly, dries so you don't see an oily residue, and will help you keep your hair. It feels very soothing and healing. I was losing my eyebrows on the outside of the arch, and they are filling in, now that I've begun using castor oil. It's good for hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, AND wrinkles and dark spots. There are other things it's also good for, but those are the things I know of. I'm sure you can pay for more expensive items, but this is simple, and it works. Love your dramas. Sorry you suffer so much.

I love the headdresses in costume dramas but I always thought they were light because it’s on their heads! They’re just props, they should not be so ridiculously heavy 😠

It is so stupid, to make gorgeous movies and not to be capable of finding hair products that don't hurt, silks that won't weigh a ton, keep the comfortable temperature, etc. If you don't respect your people who will respect you? Lou Yun is a ballet dancer, he is magically graceful, and you can't double check the wire? Producers must respect their country which means taking care of actors popular in China and abroad.

That all sounds horrible, but I think I feel the worst for the women actors who are expected to wear heavy headpieces on top of already having gotten down below 100 lbs. On top of heavy many-layered costumes. I mean, by the at point, the headpieces and costumes are significant portion of their body weight! Not to mention it's really not great long term to have starved your body that way.

I thought before that the costumes and various accessories as well as wigs might take their tolls on the actors.

I love the costume dramas due to their high aesthetics and their beautiful impressions of actors, clothes, buildings and nature. I assumed already that all the spfx scenes are very hard work outs but reality tops my assumptions. Hence I keep being amazed by how skinny and young looking male and female actors are when in leisure wear, I think that it is up the actors whether they want to put up with the hard core drill. However, production companies and direcitors could make their life easier since nowadays there are many new light weight materials that can me molded in all kind of forms ie. swords, shields, garments - maybe it is too expensive but they should keep looking into it.

I hope they get payed at least very high salaries!

New found respect for these actors 👏👏👏💪. I always imagined that the head pieces were wafer thin and not heavy but now..... and the hair gluing thing - I can relate. I wore a wig to a wedding once using hair glue to attach it, that was the last time I ever did it. 💪💪💪 kudos to those who have wear this day in day out. Tip, dont take it off until after filming. Found this out whilst watching videos on how to attach a wig. They apparently wear it attached for weeks so only have to remove it with solvents occasionally. I feel so sorry for these actors and this is made worse by criticizing viewers. Some really should just keep their opinions to themselves as not every thought ought to be shared.

I've watched or started and dropped all the dramas mentioned. I do agree with most of the comments. I think a lot of it has to do with the director and the script, too. Some scripts are boring or just bad, and the character doesn't have an expressive personality to capture the audience. Alot of the characters are meant to be cold but full of emotional depth. However, the actors give a stiff, beautiful emotionless face, they can't convey the emotional depth to the audience. As a director shouldn't you make them redo if the acting was not good? So who fault is it really 😂.
