What surprised me the most alcaraz is only 20 years old and is able to compete until semifinals in all 3 surface tournaments, while Nadal n nole took a while to make to semifinals, Nadal on hard court n nole on grass(nole used to say he hater grass) Federer was most definitely was getting to semifinals in the early years, alcaraz at 20 on hard court n grass, next year he will win at the French open

Djokovic spending all his serving games wasting peoples time and trying to ensure Carlos can't gain momentum, lost anyway. 🤣 The time between serves is pathetic and he should be called out in every tournament.

There's just something about Djokovic that most people don't like, its as if he just lacks a bit real class, doesn't matter how many he wins he will never top Federer and Nadal, and now a new pretender here to take it all from him, GOOD.

Djokovic gave 2nd set away. Not very good tennis overall through 2 sets. Don't want to watch anymore. Like their playing in molasses; and Novak's terribly slow serve - ugh. Should pass a new time to serve rule like 7 seconds AND enforce it. Slow, deliberate serving takes away from beauty of game.

Alcaraz is very good around 1m40 when they start again.. Surprised Novak with a repetition on the same corner and then beat him again with a typical drop shot…

I will truly never forget this moment

Thru 14 games not very good tennis from either player; get sense Novak is tentative in putting away rallies. Keeps hitting ball back to Alvarez instead of moving him around. If he had done this throughout the match he probably would have outlasted him in the 5th set.

Carlos was gutsy, changing tactics, almost toying with Nole. Truly magnificent performance against the king of grass. Youth really makes one take a leap without hesitation and it worked out for Carlos. Congratulations!
