I visited Amsterdam for the 9th cannabis cup awards back in 96. Fun place to visit. Great to have so many different varieties to try, though thought that what I was able to get back here was better quality, and cheaper. Hash was my favorite thing to try. Asked locals where to shop besides the regular tourist spots. Sure made a difference in price and quality.

as a German the Amsterdam prices are very expensiv its for tourists, for better prices go to a smaller town in NL. 15€ to 20€ is high for a gram but over 20€ is only expensiv

Glad you checked out Katsu and Coffeeshop Superskunk. They are my favourite coffeeshops in Amsterdam.
Two notes of caution:- You can’t walk around the streets smoking weed unless you are very discreet. Same for the parks. Cannabis is not “legal” as such in Amsterdam, but tolerated.
Secondly, be very careful about taking photos in coffeeshops. Ask for permission from the staff and don’t photograph customers (some get very paranoid).

Bought my first legal weed on a trip to Europe in 2005 at Barney's, it was Laughing Buddha (which I did not see on the menu) a mix of landrace Thai and landrace Jamaican sativas. We ate that morning after getting off the train from Germany at Barney's too, Dutch pancakes. The Laughing Buddha is my favorite strain of all time since it made me feel like giggling like an excited little child.

Hey Chad, great video. By the way, a lot of the cali weed on the menus in coffeeshops is legitimately imported from the US. Although maybe not at Prix D'Ami. And the 50 Euro per gram on that menu is for bubblehash. Still expensive but a little more understandable.

Wtf has happened to the prices? Why is legal weed allwats priced just below street prices? Even in usa. Are vendors that greedy? Price motivation used to be its illegal but i notice now when markets start to legalise they where lying.

You are wrong about the Cali strains. Actually, there is a LOT of cannabis coming from US or Canada to Europe.

It amazes me how the good spots in Dam change over time. The places i was frequenting ten years ago: Barneys, greenhouse, grey area are now so expensive with bad quality that I would recommend people avoid those places. Keeps the trips interesting each time I guess. Top picks at the moment for me are De Kade and Easy time. 👌
