RE/MAX is a surprisingly global company which has led me astray before . . . I guessed Vancouver from the Chinese last names of the real estate agents, which even if you're not great at North American racial demographics, a quick rule of thumb is that Asian communities are much larger/more established in West Coast cities. (Actually the location was brand new June 2022 coverage . . . but you had a "Lam" Re/Max agent and I had a "Zhao" Re/Max agent.)

For the Canadian one you can see under the airport sign pointing to the highway signs and those particular highway signs are BC ones

Gen 4 coverage is now available in Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Sri lanka, Bangladesh, Romania and etc. I guessed Sweden in 10s game and the correct location was in Latvia which was a gen4 location! 😕

5K on the Irish one. I used to live in Galway and walked that route very regularly as it is a popular student drinking street.

I think someone else noted the Garda car. Garda Siochana is our police. Also the Irish obviously.

Peter, the Remax Real Estate sign is VERY common in the US too. I would not use it to indicate Canada. Although, it certainly narrows things to N.A.

For the Vancouver round, I’m not too familiar with Vancouver area codes but Toronto area codes would be 647 and 416, which some people have mistakenly thought was why Drake nicknamed Toronto the “6ix” (it was for a different reason). That might help you recognize Toronto. I know a few other area codes as well, such as 905, which is commonly used in the cities/towns around Toronto (Greater Toronto Area), as well as 519 and 226, which are found in southwestern Ontario (such as Windsor, which is across from Detroit in the USA).

I don't like meta tips at all. It bothers me when people guess the country just because the car has a metal bar with some black tape on it. That has nothing to do with geography. But, thank you so much for the other tips. It's cool to have a legend like yourself as a teacher.
