Why does the Russian language sound like you're gurgling pebbles in your mouth? Also sounds like crumbled paper. It sounds like complete chaos. Not a nice language to listen to. The language doesn't sound as eloquent as the English language.

I’m surprised how many have a grasp of English, a couple were quite good. One chap obviously learnt English from cartoons, as he sounded like Mickey Mouse. PS don’t interview people underneath a very loud bell tower.

In 1988 I visited Moscow, Russia. Much different feel before the iron curtain fell but I was a student at the time traveling with my parents, and it's not shocking to know that many people can speak English overseas. It's just embarrassing that so many Americans don't speak other languages. If you ask me, it's pointless to start teaching sophomores in high school French or Spanish; and that's the only two languages that are available. I'm not saying that the students are stupid, I just think they listen to the lesson, Get the homework, and they are lost and have no interest. I have friends in Italy ,Germany, and France. Some have told me they have learned from a small child. I think children's mines are absolutely sponges and we teach them from little children. They can retain so much information. My grandson is 18 months, I don't speak Spanish, but if I have to sit there with him, Say the name of the cards hear what they sound like. I will do whatever I can.❤

I am lucky enough born in not english speaking country. So , i could speak more than 2 languages. I wonder , most people in UK or The USA either. They are study language too or not.

Russia reminds me of the US back in the 80s and 90s when it was clean and normal. You know? Before leftists took over and convinced everyone being backwards was good.

I'm impressed, most Americans can't speak a second langue unless they were born into it, even though high schools in California use to require it. Hell sometimes American's can't understand other American's who were born here.

As for me, I'm working in IT industry.That's why I'm using english everyday. And the most hard part for me is to speak english. I mean, usually it's easy for me to understand what people say or write in english. But hard to say what I'm think.

Btw english is kinda common skill for any russian who not agreed with war. I don't know about what people hear outside russia, but here mostly evereone heard about huge waves of immigration. Ofc there was a lot of people years ago who said "nah, why do I need learn english? I don't need it". Well, many of them regret now. On the other hand, many young people really know at least basic english. At least, cause since about 2012 it's actually was many young people who want to immigrate somewhere else. In my opinion, mostly older people think something like "US is our enemy. American people are all think only about money(pffft, as if many russians do not)" and so on. As for example, some of my relatives think so. But I'm not agree with them. You know, we are all humans at least and there are bad and good people in every contry. All I want is just to work and do cool it stuff and quietly live my live, but not been caught by police while protesting or so(that is why many stay silent now, yeah). Anyway, despite one side or another are right or wrong war is just the last thing you should see. At least, there are many other tools that goverment can use to put pressure on another contry. Sacntions is an example.

Also, I'm learing esperanto now. And I personaly dissapointed that this language is so underrated. It's much easier than any language I've heared

The government and media in the US always tries to demonize the Russian people…glad to see channels like this reaching global audiences to show they’re not all that bad. There’s good and bad people everywhere, that’s universal. Most Russians I’ve ever met would give you the shirt right off of their back if you needed it, literally. If governments have a problem with each other, then that’s their own problem. Leave the citizens out of it. As a native speaker, each of these people should be extremely proud of their English. I could understand them completely and much better than my Russian!

Even in their native languages, people tend to sound like idiots if you ask them to tell you something about them in one sentence. I wouldn't know what to say in my native language, and I know my native language pretty well (it's my native language after all).

Now its time to go to UK and ask them how many of them speak Russian 😁😁
