My favourite tennis player..Sometimes she would be getting smashed all over the place because she had no power,, but she was so clever in her play that she could still turn the rally around and and win unwinable points. I remember a game when she played Venus Williams,, Wiliams was so powerful and looked like she would win all the rallies but Hingis would turn the rallies on their head..it was such a good game,, wish I could remember the tournament.. Hingis may not be the greatest, but shes competitive against everyone..My all time favourite female player.

4 and a half years after her 3rd retirement, I still miss the G.O.A.T. of female tennis. 😭
I almost never again watched any double match since.
If she didn't have to retire aged ONLY 22, and play only a couple more years in single after (2006-7), I can't imagine her records... that r already crazy, like the fact to b world n°1 in both single and double... AGED 16, and to play and win all 4 Slam tournaments in double that year as well as 3 of the 4 in single (playing all 4 finals), or to stay 4 years world n°1, or to turn back WTA1 in double 20 years after the 1st time, or the class to retire being world N°1.
Just watched a documentary made recently about her, with her and her family telling about all her career and life, and with people like Monica Seles and John McEnroe telling all the admiration they have for her and Johnny Mac specially (we see him a lot) saying she's the best ever.
