I do a lot of interviews shooting too and I totally disagree with that pre-amp audio. It has not the best pre-amp out there but still is very good and reliable. Imo Sony Pre-amp is worse and I won't even mention insta360 which is at the bottom of audio quality.

4GB file split is fine BUT dropping frames between them Is completely

Even in daylight the image is full of noise with the lowest iso

I'm going to buy it for a b-roll bundget solution next to my fully rigged BMPCC 4K. So there's still a use for it if you consider the ~£300 2nd hand cost.

I think I have issues with the G7 exposure and low light capabilities. This camera takes a pro to bring out nice picture color because the color profile is not as amazing as professional cameras

Can anyone recommend the least expensive camera that doesn't have the issues of gaps in recording and a limited recording length? Used cameras or camcorders are fine. 1080p/30 minimum. My main camera is an XF100

Who in the f*** watches this crap? People can't form their own intelligent decisions.

None of these is a problem for a cinema camera (e.g. audio would be external). The only problem with the G7, that you didn't even mention is the fact that it turns off HDMI when pressing REC, making the use of an external larger monitor useless.

Is the G7K better than the G7?

Ok this is only for sit down talking videos if you are planing on getting this camera it is perfect for skits and sketches because no one is going to have a 30 minute scene

Less than a year in, my CCD failed. Magenta everything. And of course, i bought it used, and have no warranty because companies are garbage.

Ohhhh man, you’re disappointing me. I am t3i user and I bought a g7 last nite from Facebook Marketplace for $250. My main reason for upgrading was because the lack of autofocus on the t3i. Wellllll....I’ll see because so far I’m loving the quality of the g7. 🎥

450 euros for the g7 and a 14-42 mm ... i will make videos clips for my songs so no problem with the points you mentioned .
i watch you , recording sit on your sofa and your voice off said "auto focus is bad" ... but why to use auto focus when you are sit on a sofa ?...i think is very not necessary .

You need to keep the "PRIVATE" folder filesystem, in order not to get dropped frames, when importing to Premiere as AVCHD.

The 4GB limitation has to do with the filesystem being used, FAT32, not with any sort of import/export restrictions.
