Best podcast in the business. No angles or agendas. Good job Paul George! You bring a breathe of fresh air in a very crowded space.
ОтветитьBet all my fellow west Virginians are mad that Paul got Zeke from cabin creek wrong😂

Ответить…. Mr. West is in the Buildin’
ОтветитьJerry is the grandpa you wish you had.
ОтветитьIn terms of guards there's always outliers but average guard size have been growing past 76 years. With this logic, might not be your life time time but in someone's life time in the future the average must be bigger.
I believe Wemby will be the normal guard someday
Yeah, I don't care if Jerry doesn't like his portrayal in Winning Time. Both real Jerry West and HBO Jerry West is awesome.
ОтветитьGod I could listen to Jerry West talk tactics all day! Half the shit he said I never knew like if you shoot with your left you don’t have to square up or pivot to stop a pass to the back door
ОтветитьPlease bring Jerry back on!
ОтветитьLiving Legend!

ОтветитьThis man is a legend.
Ответить“You ever climb mountains when you were a kid , No , But I Did “ “I was gonna get to the top of the next mountain” literal Gems From a legend 🔥🔥🔥

ОтветитьEducational interview
ОтветитьShoulda brought up the hbo show
ОтветитьShooting over the corner of the backboard is one of the more enjoyable drills to do! Trains the aim and the arc!
ОтветитьExcellent interview. PG is really good at this. Asks good questions, and just as importantly,
is a great listener . Never interrupts his guests, even if they don’t really answer the question he asked.
Basically, he just let Jerry West talk about whatever he wanted to, knowing that whatever it was, it would be interesting to anyone watching.
I’m 80 years old, and was lucky to see West, Robertson, Baylor, Wilt, and Russell in their prime. West was way ahead of his time, far more athletic and versatile than the other 2 guards of his era. He played as much forward as he did guard at West Virginia, and like Oscar, was a hell
of a rebounder as a guard when he came into the league. He was also a terrific defender.
While listed as 6’3 or 6’4, he had the wingspan of a guy 6’7 and could really jump. It took him about 2 years to get his handle right, and once he did that, he was pretty much unstoppable . Combine that with superlative shooting and passing skills, and you’ve got one of the finest all around guards in NBA history. Forget the damn logo. When you’re talking about the top two guards to ever play, he’d rank in the top four or five. Personally, I’d take Jordan, Kobe and Wade as my top three, and West next. His game would easily translate to today , and if he wanted to, he could play the point better than any of the others. Great guy, totally humble, and a truly fabulous player!
