🦹 ahhhyeesss Now this is a very good spooky ghostly mysterious adventure thriller
ОтветитьReally not many similarities between this and the original, huh?
ОтветитьLove this old movie!
ОтветитьOne of the all time capers !!
ОтветитьNo. I tried, but with no rationale for keeping 'Tom' presence, the film is lifeless tedium. Never before have I found a film, or much else, boring. Perhaps they all die from ennui.
ОтветитьI clicked on this expecting to see a really scary horror movie. Actually this is not my kind of film at all - but I really enjoyed it.
ОтветитьThank you for uploading this classic. I never watched this movie when I was a kid. Robert Morley and Tom Poston are two of my favorites, typically for different genres. The women, as dictated by the timeframe, had wonderful protuberances. I'm surprised that this movie (like The Creature of the Black Lagoon) wasn't made in 3D to further emphasize them ... however that is never needed. But I am not complaining. This is a light-hearted 60s "horror" movie, like The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. Great fun watching.
ОтветитьI saw this when I was maybe 4 years old, it aired on TV in the mid 90s. My parents were watching it too, but when I asked about it years later, they never remembered it. They kept asking "Are you sure you didn't dream it?" Well, I didn't. No way am I gonna dream up.... (Spoilers ahead:)
No way am I gonna dream up people being murdered in their house with a Noah's Ark (replica) in the back yard, with a man chasing the lead man around the basement and then getting hit over his head by his daughter, and then with the bomb that explodes by the murderess' feet.
New sub!!! Great channel!!🙏🏻🥰
ОтветитьAbsolutely brilliant
ОтветитьI'm watching this because I want to see how he acted before George Utley on Newhart.
Ответитьthis remake was ok
prefer the 1932 classic though
This movie needed to be at least 3 hours longer!
ОтветитьThis Version of the House is not better than the 1936 version but the color is Beautiful wish the original was in color
ОтветитьWhen alluring is aggressive, it becomes repulsive
ОтветитьThis is pretty obscure, he says my gosh instead of my God back in 63 that might have meant something ... I'm referring to the time he's checking into the casino
ОтветитьNot me , I ' m an AMERICAN....
LMFAO!!!
What a good film so enjoyed
ОтветитьI can't believe I never saw this movie before all the movies I watch growing up cuz I'm 64 and I never saw this and I want to thank you for having this here little slapstick comedies with a little melodrama thanks again 🛐✝️♾️♥️ LOL
Ответить2023
ОтветитьA fun film 🥰
Ответитьsuper movie
ОтветитьTom Poston looks like the love child of Tom Hanks and Judge Rheinhold : s
ОтветитьAnother boring movie.
ОтветитьIt was a strange idea to have William Castle come over and direct a movie for Hammer studios, and to me it didn't work.
ОтветитьShe hoarded every shilling redubbed as penny.
Ответить5 Minutes in: I prefer da 1930's Version betta.
ОтветитьShe's 83 now, but was 25 in this. Was an absolute beauty in her day.
Rumour has it she slept with Petter Sellers. I'd like to think it isn't true - it would have been a terribly gullible and naive thing, but he could be quite the charmer.
I never represent an inferior product!
ОтветитьIn agreeing with all that it said by you all, I only add, I´m stupid enough to fall for morgana!
ОтветитьI never got tired during the late 60' and 70's seeing reruns on TV and the movie theatre as well. Aside from game show he was in this was the first time I seen him in a movie. He's good in this heroic character.
ОтветитьThe original movie with Boris Karloff was way better
ОтветитьI never forgot watching this on the tv as a child back in the 70's, especially the knitting needles and Casper & Jasper. I always wrongly remembered that it was Robert Morley who played both parts and that it was a black & white film. So, glad to find it here and watch it again, I've always asked people if they remembered it also but not many knew of it. Thank you for sharing! Wonderful!
ОтветитьSuperb.
ОтветитьTom Poston was a lucky man.....married to Suzanne Pleshette!
ОтветитьHow come that dude was expecting a flood?
ОтветитьEarly on in the gambling room the chick in the cobalt blue dress.. fantastic!
ОтветитьAwful movie . The one from 1932 is way better and Gloria Stuart is far prettier the ones here.
ОтветитьI didn't get.. how Tom identified the real killer ?
ОтветитьI’ve been recently revisiting William Castle movies that I saw as a kid, and while I was able to still enjoy most of them, this particular movie I just couldn’t get through. The humor is too dry and the creepiness non-existent.
ОтветитьI've got to tell you... When he gets out of the car with 6 miles to Femm Hall awesome
ОтветитьWhat I wouldn't give to live in Femm Hall
ОтветитьThe usual 'corn' of it's time, with the same clique of none actors.
They are the same in everything. Robert Morley, Joyce Grenfell, Janette Scott, Merlyn Johns, Fenella Fielding. Couldn't act their way out of a paper bag!
I was surprised Wilfred Hyde White didn't get a cameo.
Crazy I didn’t know there was a remake to the old dark house
ОтветитьThe actors maybe gone, but if you loved this film the house can still be visited. It’s now a hotel and was used for many many movies. One of the most famous was the Rocky horror picture show. One of the things I most love about English films is that in most cases the locations still exist. So if you ever get the chance visit the old Hammer Studios in Windsor. Hammer bought it to use as a studio before Bray. But still shot many locations there. Oakley Court.
ОтветитьWhat a cool little movie. Came out the year I was born.
ОтветитьJoyce Grenfell with knitting neefles lol x
ОтветитьThe wonderful and sultry Fenella Fielding...as Morgana.
