I have the SBSC011, which is the JDM version of the SSK023.
I’ve had it for a little over a week and it hasn’t left my wrist. It’s a great watch; I’m a sucker for field watches, and always wanted a GMT, so I picked it up as soon as I could.
This is the perfect watch for me: I enjoy the look (sure, the dial is a bit busy, but it looks great in person and on the wrist). I also like that it has 100m water resist, and it didn’t break the bank either. It’s going to be the watch I travel with most of the time. It is very versatile, and I also don’t need to worry too terribly much about it.
Would I like sapphire? Sure. But I’ll just have a watchmaker swap out the crystal for a domed sapphire at the first service. Not a big deal.
The GMT complication adds a lot of visual interest. I enjoy it tracking the progress of my day at home, and I think it’ll be really useful when visiting different timezones.
I put mine on a brown leather strap, though I think I’ll use the bracelet for the summer.
Very happy with the watch and fully recommend it.
Great video
ОтветитьI'm happy. 39,4 perfect for my wrist. 🙃
ОтветитьCan I wear my PRX while showering? I have a gold 40mm Quartz.
ОтветитьMy AD is so generous to give a good discount so I purchased both.. I LOVE THEM!
ОтветитьGot the ssk023 today at 20% off retail in dxb. Pretty looking watch, good finish.
ОтветитьDial is very busy, but that’s not my biggest issue: I can’t ever recommend a Seiko 5 until Seiko stops acting like a petulant child and uses sapphire on their entry level pieces.
The price is not an issue. Seiko has to grow up.
Really eye balling the silver one. However that price is a bit steep, coming from my timex titanium expedition. it was $360 that I got for 280. sapphire front and back and 200m of water resistance not the most accurate though. Has anyone bought this watch? curious as to what people think of it.
ОтветитьI tried them on and they felt cheap and slightly too small.
Worth 300 bucks max
If the numerals had been lumed it would've been nearly perfect. Without lumed numbers, not so much. Close, but no cigar.
ОтветитьTeddy I need a review from you of the Laco Cuxhaven
ОтветитьI always take off my watch when i do that
ОтветитьThese are more expensive than the ssk gmt divers right? A price undercut them??? Very confused.
Ответитьthose inner 13-24 o’clock markers are a mistake 😢
ОтветитьNice watch but the GMT hand is quite aweful.
ОтветитьI dont understand the logic behind having the 24 hour inner track and a 24 hour bezel. It makes it way too busy.
ОтветитьWhy do most watches call the second time zone feature "GMT"?
ОтветитьOrdered the SSK023 from your store just now, Teddy. Looking forward to unboxing my new watch in a few days
Ответитьthat's a very nice watch from Seiko.
ОтветитьI love the white dial version which is only available in Japan.
ОтветитьSo the numbers are not lumed? pretty disappointing.
ОтветитьI could care less about the Hardlex crystal. When I pick one of these up, it’s to replace my dearly loved, totally beat to crap 42mm Seiko field watch that only has about 12 hrs power reserve on it. Every scratch and ding has a story. So many of them that they’re hard to remember. It survived the last ten years of police work and I still wear it often. This is the perfect replacement, and it will get just as beat
ОтветитьWish they had of released the Japanese white version internationally
Ответитьlovely....another 1 I now want!
Ответитьwhat the fuck are those hands...
ОтветитьWay too busy… too many damn numbers
ОтветитьDamn it, I thought I was done buying Seikos.
Ответитьlove this
ОтветитьYep, they coulda put on a better bracelet, and a better crystal, and then it would cost more. Isn't that the point of not putting the best stuff on watches that charge reasonable prices?
ОтветитьSo are the numbers a yellow color or green color depending on the white or black dial or are the numbers white?
ОтветитьToo bad the numbers aren't lumed, otherwise this could have been my every day watch. It's got everything I look for (minus lumed numbers).
ОтветитьDam Who’s hands are those?😬
ОтветитьNice coat, bruh.
ОтветитьSeiko still taking advantage of their customers. Nobody should buy a watch over $200 that doesn’t have a sapphire there’s no excuse. If I can buy sapphire faces wholesale for around $10-$12 imagine what they could get them for.
ОтветитьAs far as "cheap" watches isn't there a Vostok GMT?
ОтветитьNice, reliable, cheap . Two beautiful GMT watches .
ОтветитьWhy would they not lume the numbers?
ОтветитьI've been waiting for and hoping you'd review these. I picked up a SSK023 a month ago from overseas, and I'm loving it. It's now my go-to GMT watch.
ОтветитьWithout suphire glass i can't purchase seiko 5 gmt
ОтветитьIf you look at the quality you can get for just over 1k. Probably the equivalent to something double the price if you are going to a store to to buy a watch then It’s worth paying the extra money and personally I would have SSK gmt sekio released a couple of years ago over these two new watches.
ОтветитьThe GMT they released two years ago, was very nice. This thing is not so nice.
Ответитьi love how useless the feature is for me, but when someone asks ill lie and say it actually is lol
ОтветитьHe speaks so quickly, that it's hard to understand.
ОтветитьCute explorer ripoff. May have to pick one up for fun.
ОтветитьJust get the Hamilton Khaki. This watch is dog poop
ОтветитьNeed the white dial version for the field option.
ОтветитьBeast review on YT - keep up the quality. Appreciated.
ОтветитьI bought them both. Very pleased with them. The ssk023 is a great size and the bracelet is super comfortable. The ssk025 is awesome except for the leather double pass strap. Toss it, I put it on a white stitch epsom. Beautiful. 👍🏼 Rock on Teddy!
