Im here to confirm that the director said they are not a canon couple......well..i do like the ship but not anymore cause leorio treats kurapika as his own son but i like it as his mini husband and if they were canon then the show would have made little bit of episodes with either 1 season or 2 or they would either have to change kurapika's gender because for sailor moon there were two characters who were gay which were females had to be change because japan has a strict rule for putting lgbt in anime the rule was if there are any lgbt couples they would have to change their gender....
