Italy, especially Tuscany, is truly amazing! We felt the same way when we decided to leave Los Angeles behind and embrace the Tuscan dream back in 2017. I find it difficult not to fall in love with San Gimignano, Siena or Pienza. However, regarding the wines, my preference goes to Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (out of Tuscany wines), even more than the more hyped Brunello di Montalcino. But that's only a matter of taste. And I have a region I love even more than Tuscany, but I'm not going to spell it out, since it still is not very infested with tourists.

And as I remember, the whole of Pienza centro storico had a strong smell of pecorino cheese ...

Omg I believe we were in the same cities as you two at the same time. San Gimignano, Siena - and then we went to Perugia and Orvieto and your video made me weep I miss Italy so much. I am married to an American now, but italiano, who grew up in Venezia and Florence. And goodness can’t wait to return to Umbria and Toscano as soon as we can. Grazie per questo video!

I loved Tuscany and the provinces I visited. I still remember the grilled sole - it was that good. Pistachio gelato for me! I wasn't a big fan of the food in Rome compared to Tuscany but I did love Rome and the people I met. The person I visited lived above a gelato shop. Score! lol :)

Crazy COINCIDENCE! That was my Airbnb apartment in Siena when I stayed there last year! It was so exciting to see it in your video. Gosh, I LOVED that apartment. The best! And G&T were such fantastic hosts. I was working remotely during my 8 day stay there, and enjoyed a number of great meals at Osteria La Sosta di Violante, too. Yes, the food is another level. Just compare that food with any food in the the US and you will just put your head down, there just is no comparing.
