For those wondering if using a more private browser like Brave helps mitigate surveillance from using Google search. Here is a response from NBTV tech advisor Kieran Mesquita:
"Brave will block some fingerprinting measures and it does block a bunch of endpoints that google uses for telemetry collection but Google has multiple redundant ways to collect this information so the actual impact is pretty negligible when using Google search itself. Most of the telemetry blocking mitigates Google’s ability to track users on 3rd party sites (via adsense and google analytics) and not when using 1st party Google sites/tools."

I like Brave to a point. If I'm trying to find links to movies or shows so I can find what streaming services they're on nothing shows up. Google has direct links and opens the app but I don't trust Google anymore.

Google is so popular because they serve results that tickle the users confirmation bias it is like a warm filt around you.

I sometimes do dummy searches like, "hotel Nice France" and "service BMW near Rotterdam" or just "cat food extra vitamins" to tint my search results, and just looking for female clothes can make the algorithm unsure about my gender. To be a liars on internet is a good thing but not foolproof.

They made the internet. The locksmith always has the keys. But if VPN and a browser makes you feel better so be it.

I use multiple Routers with their own, updated, hardware security, For the intranet I have a Zyxell router, that will bridge my computers, who are whitelisted to contact the internet. Before that, it went through a Barracuda network security hardware unit. On the other side, I have a double VPN subscription. And I try to avoid internet browsing, For now I'"m good I think.

I know that's why i search really f&^*ed up stuff daily.

Our society is overseen by elite sadists. Surveillance is their bread and butter. And watching people struggle with the problems they themselves create, is their favorite entertainment.
