The first time I tried it I got a power fist and now I feel bead that merit didn’t try for a weapon

You can actually get weapons from the supply drop I got 2 knives and a 10mm pistol

BTW if you have 50 speech, you can head straight to Boulder City and solve the Great Khans issue with a speech check, and you instantly become accepted by great khans and ncr

On the xbox gamepass version the radio has never once worked. It always says out of range regardless where I am.

Thank God for the enclave commanders mod, basically a fan made version of what this could have been. you can have ncr as well as brotherhood and enclave, plus the add ons for the mod itself to get a few other factions, someone even made a version that uses marked men from the divide and lobotomites, ghost people too

I used the radio all the time it was extremely useful and I could have both an ncr trooper and ranger at the same time, sure they got lost inside the buildings very occasionally but it was still a good amount of help especially since it glitched and I could have the trooper and the ranger at the same time. I used it my entire first play though of New Vegas on the Xbox 360.

You could have picked up the items from the dead Rangers since their equipment came with the radio

Lorewise it fitting. The NCR is known for their ineptitude in solving pressing issues that are not related to their imperialism.

the real challenge here is playing with 1 agility

Try this in fo4 with the flare gun and if you can’t figure out how to get the gun js attack the settlers Preston sends you to which I think would make them mad and never ally with you failing it so you go to Preston and he scolds you on doing that and then gives you a flare gun

Am i the only one who actually used the NCR emergency radio to deal with deathclaws and legion assassins?

The one time I ever used the radio it was while attacking the robots by the crashed vertibird. The ranger did arrive...

Uh... Didn't you know that you could reverse-pickpocket high tier gear onto the NCR Ranger?

I did that on the very first time I played Fallout NV. That one Ranger never died and was with me until the end of the game--and by then she was rocking an Anti-Materiel rifle and heavy armor.

I mean, if we're being generous about it, running away from danger isn't too far fetch from what NCR will do

Id be willing to bet that she couldn't attack the ants or benny because they were quest related enemies.

Not gonna lie, I never used the radio and I played over 500 hours of new Vegas.

actually, rangers are very aggressive, which can just cause them to die in normal playthroughs by running straight at an enemy

this is weird, when i checked the wiki there was only 5 bugs listed, and most of them being of the suply drop and/or easily fixable. did NV got a secret patch lately or did the wiki change or is there something i am missing? btw funny that at least 50% are Xbox only, which is funny and sad at the same time.

Wasn’t there an army bug if you waited in one location using it over and over? Or was it patched?

pro tip: if you call in a ranger/trooper and they disappear, they’ll run back to camp maccarran, just outside the gate. fast travel there and talk to them if you see them, they’ll rejoin your company.

found this out after trying it for the first time retaking nelson, then traveling back to maccarran after i wiped the floor with dead sea.

True fucking story about death claws 😭, I was playing new Vegas last night. Fixed snuffles leg, and was going to the next undiscovered location. Unknowingly being the mine with lots of death claws at it, I'm just standing on the actual road outside of the mine entrance. Just kind of afking for no reason other than I was examining the eye bot guy I fixed up, and all of a sudden this collosal fucking death claw zooms over and obliterates me. It scared me 😂😅, climbed on the rocks to try and kill some of them and uh. They're way stronger than they are in fallout 4, 50 in energy weapons, emptied half a clip of OC energy cells into the mother death claw from my lazer pistol and it did literally nothing. And she also one hit tapped my eye bot friend, and I was like 😰 time to go

Even if it was unsatisfying on your end, I think that was a satisfying run to watch for how broken the thing is. I'd say you didn't fail it, it failed you and you powered through. Great vid.
